My screen is blank. Keypad still emits light but screen is all BLANK! Even when i switched it off and on again, it's still blank!

My sony erricson k850i started giving problems a while back. during use the screen would go black but it didnt stop the general use of the phone, I could still sms or phone a number even though I couldnt see anything on the screen. Then my phone went of and never came back on again. I tried software upgrade, I did the whole remove battery and mem card thing I charged it over night etc, there is no responce from the phone at all exept for a red light that comes on deep inside the phone when charger is connected, only visible in the dark pls help

When picture goes away do you see the screen still emitting light or does it go completely blank?

Depending on the answer there are two possiblities:

if the screen goes completely blank then the problem is likely in the TV's inverter and more specifically very likely in some of the high-frequency transformers. Best solution there is replacement.
Unfortunately inverters are often on one board with power in smaller TVs.

if the screen is still emitting light albiet being blank then the problem is more likely in the main board and, less often, in a cable.

Main boards often overheat and ICs relying on soldering contact bonds of 1/10 sq.mm. start misbehaving in all kinds of ways , including like you describe.

There's no simple cure for that problem - usually it's cheaper to replace the whole board or even the whole TV than to troubleshoot it.

Perhaps not great news, but that's what I know about it.

friend had this problem try pressing the screen down with ur finger (the inside screen)

i just finished repairing a 20 inch acer monitor that had the same issue.... you have to take it apart and examine the power supply side of the monitor. there are capacitors that go bad on that board. you can tell be feeling the tops of them... the feel rounded. replace the capacitors and put it back together and it will work fine

Remove the keep the battery out for 5 mins. Press the power button for 30 seconds without the battery to drain any charge on the main hardware.

Reseat the battery and turn on the phone.

my problem is wen im chargen it the screen is blank but the key pad lights up an the power button is red plz help me fix it

i think after all that you should replaced the mainboard

you will need to replace the flexcable on the phone

You'll need a new phone. RAZRs die a lot, and they start their final journey this way - with smaller malfunctions that end up leading to death. Move your contacts to the SIM card if you get the phone to function again, and go get a new one soon. This one's on the way out.
