These units are changed out quite often. You should be able to find you a cover on line. Try any ac parts web site. Russ You will need model number of unit.

The rubber water tight sealed off/on switch deteriorated and fell off. How can I replace it. Does Remington do anything to take care of this potentially dangerous condition. It seems to clearly be a...

If you have had the unit for less than two years, it should be covered under the warranty. You can call Remington at 1-800-736-4648

You will not be able to obtain a replacemnt of the rubber part for model MS-280. To fix the shaver, your best alternative would be to purchase the replacement part below from shaveroutlet.com

Hello Peggy: Ohio? I have a cousin there.
Back to your problem. RemingtonPower is no longer in production. The name has recently been purchased by MTD. It appears they are offering a few selected parts. A cover to fit your saw is now available.

I went here and input model M15014AS, followed the directions and when possible selected the IPD. I found Item 28, pn 107711-01, is NLA everywhere.
The "Sprocket Cover (containing the bushing)" is available "Item 6, pn 113007-01 - USE REPLACEMENT PART # 116675-01, NLA @ Remington Power but is available @ PartsFor.com. Please check my work below.
Remington.com
http://shoppingcart.msservicecompany.com/Default.aspx
Type "YourModelNumber" into the "Search for your unit by Model:" window, then click search.
Click the “YourModelNumber” - Remington Electric Chain Saw "View Model" link.
Click “View Owners Manual” or "View Illustrated Parts Diagram" link.
Type "YourPartNumber" into the “Search for your parts by Part #:” window, then click search.

PartsFor.com

pn 116675-01, Availability: In stock, $15.60
If me I would use the phone number provided, ensure it will fit your saw, it includes the bushing, order with a credit card (recover your investment much easier), get the name of the service person helping me and the name of her/his supervisor.
Once I had it hand and it fit I would likely apply some double sided tape to preclude its loss again.

If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. HTH & Good Luck.

You may have a defective panel, main board or t/con board. If unit is less than a year old, it is still covered under samsungs' warranty. You can call 1-800-samsung to find out if your unit is still covered.

Ptac

You need a new control board. The relays go out on these. If your unit is less than a year old then you should still be under warranty. Unless you did not send in the warranty card, then the company only warrants the unit for 1 year after the mfg. date. You will need to provide the serial and part number to find out from Amana. The new control boards are much better by the way, and worse come to worse, they are only $130. Please let me know if this has helped in any way.

Will not drain

It sounds like the drainage may be blocked to prove this ;
1. Switch of the Washer
2. check youve switched off.
3. have a bucket handy.
4. Pull unit forward so you can access the pipes behind.
5. Locate the grey waste corrigated pipe connected to the waste plumbing. (Not the thin water pipe)
6. Remove corrigated (thicker) pipe and hold over the bucket.
5. switch unit back on. (Holding pipe over bucket)
6. Set the unit to final spin and start - this should empty the machine completely.

If the machine empties then your plumbing may need attention because the washer cannot push its waste water out through it.
You should get a full bucket load maybe more - so be ready to empty the bucket down the sink and reposition it.

If not then the drain pump motor may be faulty. This costs £19.99 + delviery from hotpoint - see : http://www.4hotpoint.co.uk/cgi-bin/search.pl?parts_search=s&model=wd63&part=pump. You will have to fit this yourself - or get a friend/engineer. I have never fitted one but anyone handy and safe with tools should be able to fit. I would guess no more than one hour to do.

However:

If you have warranty (machine is less than 1 year old) or paid for extended cover then call hotpoint to see if they can be booked in urgently...This should be free.

If you don't have warranty (your machine is older than 1 year) then its still worth calling Hotpoint - you will be charged £90 callout but parts are free for machines less than 5 years old + its warranted for 30days. This is what I recommend - especially if you have kids at home over easter!!! (then get the Extended Cover afterwards)
Call hotpoint service on 08704422510

Please don't forget to rate me

kind regards...
