I need six knobs for a 1950 Frigidaire model RM-45

I need six knobs for a 1950 General Motors/ Frigidaire model RM-45 5420246 electric range. Where can I find them? There are four knobs on the front of the stove beneath the burners. The other two knobs are on either side of a clock on the back above the burners. One side of the stove has an oven, and the other side has a warming drawer. There is a dutch oven (aka deep well cooker) on the stove.

Re: GLES388ASD Door won't unlock

Hello Friend, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

I see that the door of your your Frigidaire range (GLES388ASD) will not unlock. Let's trying pressing the CLEAR/OFF or CANCEL button in for approximately three seconds if you have a touchpad model.

If you have a knob type range control, I suggest starting a self-clean cycle. Then turn the stop time knob to the off position. If that does not work, then disconnect power to your range and reset it by either unplugging it or flipping the breaker off. It is necessary to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn your range on.

I ask that you please follow up with a response on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your range status has changed successfully.

Best of luck!

How do you unlock my frigdair oven door

Good Afternoon Anonymous, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!

I understand the oven door of your Frigidaire range is locked. May I please have your model number? The serial tag, which lists your model number, is typically located in the storage drawer, on the right side. With this information I can help you unlock the door.

In the meantime, try pressing the CLEAR/OFF or CANCEL button in for approximately three seconds if your range is a touchpad model.

My frigidaire oven knob quit working. The knob turns but it does not adjust the temp.

the knob is probably stripped. if the stove is from 1950 you may want to consider replacing it. If it is not to expensive to replace the knob you can try that just email the company and see if they can send you a replacement knob

Older Frigidaire electyri-clean range Model REG 533 * HD

I wish I had a solution for you...unfortunately I don't. However, if you know anywhere I might find a thermostat knob for this model I would be eternally grateful. I've been searching for 2 years for my mother. It's the knob with 5 settings (off, bake, broil, time-bake and clean).

My oven when turned on goes to F1 and the heat is like broil...only the top burner comes on????

Hello,Please use the chart to determine which stove you have. You will have to look at the model number. The first 3 numbers will be the series on the chart. In most cases an F1 error would require replacement of the electronic control. This part is commonly refered to as an EOC or ERC. However this type of repair is usually reserved for repair specialists.

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes – 362 Series (General Electric)
F1 = Stuck Touch Pad Key - Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 911 Series (General Electric/Roper)
F0-F1-FF = Failed transistor in Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes- 665 Series (Whirlpool)
F1-E0 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E1 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E2 U/L ERC Errors - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E3 Fuel Type Fail

Kill power 30 seconds-Cancel-Start/Enter-5 seconds-Should see “E” for electric-
“9” for gas-If code changes again-replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 790 Series Electronic Oven Control (Frigidaire)
F1 = Shorted Touch Pad = Electronic Range Control (EOC) Internal check sum error.
Runaway Temp = Replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

Kill power 30 seconds - if error returns - replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

Thanks

Frigidaire oven is slow to heat then exceeds set temp set

Normally you should have an appliance spare parts supplier in your area. They generally stock all range of spares for all appliances. You need to pull plug out of the wall and remove the panel covering the wiring to gain access to the oven thermostat. Look carefully on the body of the thermostat and record any numbers you see on a sticker that's present. Then remove knob off in front of thermostat and see if there is a nut attached to the centre which holds the thermostat in position or if there are 2 screws holding the thermostat in place. Use this information to order the thermostat also quoting the oven model number.

F 11 ERROR KEEP BEEPING

F11 - usually associated problems with the key pad. Shorted or otherwise malfunctioning. If power is disconnected from the unit for about 30 - 45 seconds and then reapplied and the problem still exists changing the EOC is recommended
