You need to open the casing to access th inside components.
Remove the screws on the backside, cut any stickers or labels that cover the seam.
You will see a 12v voltage converter mounted to the back cover.
Test it to ensure it is working properly. Is it putting out the proper voltage? If it is then check the battery to see if it has proper voltage or can hold a charge. These are the two most common problems and can be easily replaced if defective. The circuit board is less common.

Well.. I have to plug in the charger that came with the dv-179. If I use my Phone (motorola usb) charger, or a USB cable (into the computer or a hub), all it does is light up the back red light (and not the front 'self timer' led) and does not charge the camera. So remember, if the back led lights up, you've got the wrong charger!

Hi
It maybe one of the fuse gone.
You have to change the fuse:
The fuse is 250mAh and 3/4" inch long (20 mm) round glass with metal ends. The electrical contacts are not in the cartridge but inside the printer: There is a plastic fuse holder on the cartridge, even the starter cartridge. You just simply pop it into the holder. This will stop the flashing red LED and the system tray will say the cartridge is full.

Q: How do I know when my Jump Starter is fully charged?
A: All of the Baccus Global jump starters have a battery status
indicator, units can have 2 - 4 LED indicators when all of them
illuminate and the green one flashes the unit is fully charged.
