You should not have a problem running the card, check these:
1 is the sound muted? control panel sound and audio dev.
2. is the card properly seated in the slot?
3. are the speakers working and plugged in the right port
4 control panel, system, hardware ,dev mgr look in the list for sound, video and game controllers see if you have a problem there, unknown device memory conflict or other.
5 does the mother board have built in sound? if so you will have to disable it in bios before you can use another card.
hope this helps and good luck

Input is 240V-50Hz 250mA Output 12V-2.9A. The current adaptor is listed as Inspire M5300. It is for a Creative Sound Blaster 5.1 speaker system

In electronics, don't believe, be sure. When it does not say AC, see what is next to it. The ~ sign means AC. The = sign means DC. I know lots of speaker systems use AC, but check the sign.

I HVE INSTALLED WINDOWS 7 IN MY DESKTOP BUT CREATIVE INSPIRE M5300 5.1 SPEAKERS ONLY 2 FRONT SPEAKERS ARE WORKING WHT IS THE PROBLEM

Windows 7 only installs generic drivers for your sound card.
you must go to the creative site and download their "software/drivers-package" for windows 7 and from there choose 5.1 mode. ( on my system its called "Audio control panel"
Start - creative - audio control panel

Connect Creative 5.1 A500 speaker system to Phillips DVD 3256

moz-screenshot.jpg 2d65f17.jpg
Just buy two connectors(shown above). Its having two holes upside.
1. Connect the connector to one hole of the other.
2. Connect the audio cable to the dvd.
3. Then connect the connectors to the other side of the audio cable.
4. Lastly, connect the three stereo output cables of the Creative speakers to the three holes of the connector simultaneously.
I have tried this at home with my Creative Inspire M5300 speakers and philips dvd. All the five speakers are working.
