My Compaq laptop wont boot it keep saying if i have a camera or something attached to removed it and restart computer

Ok don't worry it is easy. Just download an ISO copy of the windows you had previously. Copy it on an USB using Rufus. Yes all of this must be done on an another computer. Your computer is 64 bit. Insert the USB on your laptop. Boot it up and press esc. Select boot up from an another device or boot options and select the usb. Then the windows setup will begin. This might erase everything

You will probably have to re-install windows your laptop might have come with an install disc, insert that into your cd drive and restart your laptop, windows should walk you through the installation process.

From the statement I understand that it may happen due to hardware failure, BIOS mismatch or due to static charge. Let us try the basic troubleshooting. Turn Off the Computer, remove all the devices attached to the computer, the power cable and battrey, now holdon the power button for 15 secs (make sure adpater and battery are uplugged) it will drain out all the static charge. Now, restart the computer and keep on tapping F2 (some computers "DEL or Delete" key), you will enter to BIOS setup utility, press F9 (click "Yes", if you are prompted) and then press F10 (Click "Yes", if you are prompted), it will restart the computer to Normal mode. If still it is not booting to normal mode, then the Hard disk might have unusable and need a replacement.

use system restore

If you able to login in safe mode.
Then go to start menu then type in run "chkdsk /r"
then press "y"
then restart computer then if still face same issue then you need winxp or recovery disk then repair your windows.
For boot with disk when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or "Del" key to enter in bios then go to boot option then set first boot device as your cd or dvd rom.then save and exit.

Then put disk in rom so it boot with your disk.

In that situation, try to boot it in SAFE MODE. You get into this by pressing F8 during boot up. The menu will come up and you choose the mode you want. While in safe mode you will have to try and use system restore to go back to when the computer was working. It's like PC time travel.

To boot from the disc, you need to restart your computer. As soon you see the HP logo screen keep on tapping F12. You should select the option CD/DVD drive or CD drive. Make it sure that your XP cd is inserted.

Please be reminded that if you will reinstall your windows XP everything will be wiped out from your computer, your documents, picture and any other documents.

yep you said it loose connection, wiggle the power cord and and thing attached.

what has happened is your hard drive as failed and that is why it shut down and then gave the unmountable boot volume. You could try repairing windows using your XP cd but it's a new hard drive i recon.
