I have no idea what toy you are referring to, as this is for computers and the like. But... It sounds like the batteries aren't delivering enough power or that the toys shorts out.
Try with highgain batteries and if that doesn't work, then I would complain about them to the store.
That or there might be a simple little switch you need to change so they don't go into sleep/off mode.

I had the same problem with an RCA, check your sleep mode settings on it, it may have defaulted to 1 min, so it cuts off when it cuts on

SOURCE: Power turns off automatically

Same w/ mine.  Repairman said they turn off auto to protect the set no matter what is wrong.  Take it to be fixed.  Mine was right at $100.  Works great again.

SOURCE: the gps does not boot

Use with caution: This will delete your user data on the unit.

Try a reset:

  • Hold QUIT pressed when turning unit ON (will delete waypoints, routes and tracklogs)
(This worked for me when I had a similar problem.)

You could try a master reset;
  • Hold Zoom-OUT + QUIT + NAV and power ON. Hold keys for 10-12 seconds.
  • You lose all almanac and temperature compensation tables (it
  • reconstructs itself but takes time - several hours)
  • Be patient - it will take HOURS for the unit to recover
Fair warning: I have not personally tried the master reset.

SOURCE: Kodak Z812 shuts off automatically

It is a high-powered camera, also knows as a GREAT camera. Use CRV-3 lithium duracell batteries. I have the same camera and the same "problem", but when I use that battery it lasts forever.

I have a Epson Powerlite Cinema 6010, keeps shutting down within 5 to 30 seconds ever since I put in the new lamp.

That is indicative of a cooling fan failure. They have overheat protection because the bulbs are over-run to produce that intense white light, they are also very small and get VERY hot.

Water heater

Guessing that you have 240Volt residential non-simultaneous electric water heater? And that you have 30 amp breaker and 10 gauge wire. And that water heater is located within 100 feet of breaker box. And there are no leaks running hot water out of tank. And that you installed fully brand NEW elements of same wattage as old elements. And that fully brand new thermostats were installed, and wiring exactly duplicates wiring that was present before. And that factory-insulation was re-installed over elements and thermostats.

1) Guessing the 'hot water shut off' means the ECO red reset button located on upper thermostat keeps tripping and cutting off electric power to water heater?

http://waterheatertimer.org/images/WH-w-combined2-1000.jpg
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-test-water-heater-wires.html

2) If the ECO is tripping, then water is getting too hot, or there is shorted wire located near the upper thermostat, .
Typically replacing both thermostats and replacing elements will solve this problem .... assuming that new thermostats and elements are good, and wiring correct.
Double-Check your wiring on upper and lower thermostats.
Test wires for short.
Make sure factory-insulation is re-installed over thermostats so cool room temperature will not affect temperature reading.
Check that thermostats sit flat against steel tank.
Many short draws hot water can also cause stacking event that will trip circuit breaker.

3) Add comment and say what you find using checklist above.
Be careful to explain findings fully, using same words found on links above, so illuminated diagnosis can be made.

Notebook keeps shutting down

there are numerous cases why the computer keeps shutting down. One is the pc is slow to react, the other is when the pc is in idle mode, it did not respond accordingly to its idle time to come back to its original settings. These are just the samples.

To solve this problem, kindly turn off the computer and remove the battery and cables to it. Then using your forefinger, press & hold the power button in between 8-12 secs. Then reinsert the cables and battery to it. Turn on the pc and let your computer be idle in 30 mins. If in 30 mins your pc will shut down, that means there is trouble on your memory module inside your laptop. The RAM (Random Access Memory) keeps your computer in safe and running condition for it is avoiding the pc to automatically shutdown. That is the time to consult ASUS about this issue...
