Sounds like the battery is faulty, or is not charging properly. Can you remove the battery and try it on another (heavy load) device? At least check with a voltmeter and put a (say) torch/car bulb across the contacts

All I could find out about this problem is that it has a lithium rechargeable battery, and so it could probably be charged through the usb port. If you take it into Best Buy, they can tell you for sure how it's charged, and which cable and port you should use.

We had the same problem.I went online and found some info after Googling the model number. There is a tiny SD card that goes into the SD adapter(this black small rectangle fits into a larger rectangle) a. When you insert the smaller one into the larger one, make sure the camera is off. I even took out my batteries and then inserted the card. It should work after that. Good luck.
