Why cant i get my 50 2stroke outbored to idle without choke

Your main jet is carb is clogged and needs to be cleaned out so idle circuit will work without the choke.

turn off fule first take the bowl off bottom of card by removeing the 10 mm stud .use an air line to blow out carb where the stud came out of.now turn on fule and make sure it runs trough the float needle if it does turn off again .replace bowl turn on fuel and start up.

carb needs overhaul--getta book online-----u can keep choke on cause it givn fuel that clogged passages cant deliver

have u checked the float hight on the carburator? also make sure ur choke curcuit i clean and free of dirt

Also not uncommon to see a plugged idle circuit, cant remember how difficult it was to get to, but it's the smallest orifice in the carb, plugs the easiest, and these are real touchy on fuel, keep it fresh!

I'm having a hard time keeping the engine to idle without the choke to stay on position. When the choke is off, engine would shut off.
any clue?

you need to take your carb off give it as good cleaning. also check your intake gaskets where the manifold joins the jugs and the black rubber one where the carb joins the manifold. You def have air/fuel problem going on. also check your vscume hose to the carb but im thinking that is not it.

Sounds like the needle jet on the carb is messed up, the low speed idle jet, just buy a new jet. it should idle at 950 to 1000 when warm without the choke

You will have to clean the carburator there seems to be dirt in it thus obstructing the free flow of gas through the jets.
