If you disable any part of the radio that does not pertain to CB then you could actually do damage to the radio. the best thing to do is leave it on the CB band and don't touch it.

SOURCE: connex 4600 turbo the talk back

THE TALK BACK VOLUME IS CONTROLLED BY THE MIC GAIN, TRY ADJUSTING YOUR TALK BACK VOLUME ABOUT TURNING THE MIC GAIN FROM 12 OCLOCK TO 6 OCLOCK, DO NOT WORRY YOU WILL NOT LOSE ANY OUT BOUND POWER UNLESS YOU TURN THE MIC GAIN BELOW 11 OCLOCK

SOURCE: Connex 4600 Turbo

Every tech. knows and every Connex owner Knows that once a Connex has been peaked and tuned and also had any mods done to it that the stock microphone that comes with it will not work as it should and then you will have bad feed back!! The best solution for this is buy a good Noise canceling microphone!! Such as an RK-56 or an Astatic 636-L Noice canceling microphone!! This usually will correct most of tghe feedback if not all of it!! And it will also let you keep most of your Mic gain turned uo too.

SOURCE: My friend would like to purchase a Connex CX 3400

These radios are know as what's called 'export' radios. They are imported under the auspices of being a 10 Meter Amateur radio and then through a typically easy modification are made to allow the selection of US CB channels. usually the modification involves plugging in a loose connector inside the radio radio chassis and/or removing a jumper wire soldered to a circuit board. If there is a nearby CB Shop they will usually do this for a modest fee.

Keep in mind that a radio needs to be Type Accepted by the FCC to be legal to use on the CB band in the US and export radios typically are not. Be sure to check the rear label for an FCC ID number.

Connex 4600 turbo what band do I need to operate in on channel 19 citizen band

This is a 10 meter Amateur Radio. You need a license to operate it. From my research it doesn't do CB Radio Frequencies.

Here says
Frequency Range 10 Meter 28~29 MHz
https://www.walcottradio.com/connex-cx-4600-turbo-150-watt-10-meter-amateur-radio-p-2505.html

and here shows your unit doesn't go low enough

26.960-27.410 MHz This Radio Standards Specification (RSS) sets out general requirements for, and provides information on, the certification of radio apparatus that is used for the general radio service, also known as the citizens band (CB), operating in the 26.960-27.410 MHz frequency band.

Wanting info on my connex 4400 turbo how to peak and tune

unless you have the equipment to do this.. please take to a radio store. have them do it.. its free. or they shouldn't charge to do that service.. unless it needs a major factory alignment.
also they shouldn't take out or clip anything in the process if they do find you another place LOL..

Can i get a connex turbo 4400 users manual

  • Yes you can. This is actually a service manual but it covers the basics found in the users manual in the first part of the first link. Also with a service manual you can dissect the radio to perform repairs.
