Take the brew unit out when the machine is off and cold. With your finger, check the well next to the large gear on the inside of the machine. This is the gear that fits in the back of the brew unit when it is in place. That well may be clogged with fine coffee grounds and some mildew build up. You might notice that after brewing, very little water will has been flowing into the drip tray. Take a Q-tip and push it through the hole at the bottom of the well to remove the coffee ground buildup. The excess water after brewing will flow through normally now and not behind the brew unit.

Hi. Sounds like a blocked or jammed brew unit. Remove brew unit and clean. To properly do this, you need to disassemble the brew unit. Canbe quite hard to do. The brew units are usually held together with plastic tabs, and may have to remove some screws to allow these tabs to release units assembly. Dazza REPAIRER

Saeco Vienna coffee when the machine starts the coffee dispensing

Is it leaking only when brewing coffee ?

If not I would check the seal under the water tank (Part #NM05.006)

If so, I would check the following:

1- The water input port on the back of the brew unit (looks like a smoke pipe) might be clogged

2- The o-ring of the water tubes coming in and out of the boiler.

Saeco Incanto - No water through the coffee brewer

Check the line where the water goes to the brew unit(be careful), disconnect and try to brew coffee, if water exits then the blockage is elsewhere, check the line where it goes into the white plastic valve behind brew unit, if water flows then check the brew unit make sure it is not blocked at the screen.

Leaking water

Hi,

Take out the brewing unit and look in the chassis behind where the brewing unit was, you will see a little hole, put in your finger and make sure the hole is clean.

Have a nice day

No coffee, water going to the drip tray

OK, so this is a problem with your brew unit. The unit is not cycling correctly to tell the water to come through.

We had another problem like this just this week.

The wat we fixed it was 1) Give the Brew Unit a really good clean. 2)Make sure the Brew Unit can complete a cycle - manually rotate the brew unit components through a cycle 3) Lubricate the Brew Units moving parts if necessary using some Saeco or Other Food Grade Lubricant

Then try watch a complete coffee cycle by leaving the side door of your machine open, and tricking the micro switches into thinking the door is closed by engaging them with some card or something similar.

Let us know if this does not resolve your issue.

Brewing stops mid cycle

Sounds like dosage is too high and grind is too fine.

Rule of thumb with any saeco unit.

Do not grind any finer then 2 or your looking for trouble.

Open grinder, clean it out with a vac. Slapped it back on.

The reason it stops is grind is too fine, and the machine doesn't have enough pressure to pass threw the grinds, creates back pressure in the machine and the unit failsafes after a certain amount of time with and pressure.

Back pressure is what blew your boiler.

Red exclamation light keeps blinking

Brew Unit is jammed. Has to be taken in to get it unjammed.

Depending on the unit it can be as easy as hitting a few microswitches at the same time to having to unscrew and disassemble the brew drive (Not a fun task).

Sorry there isn't an easier fix to it. You risk damaging the brew drive if you fiddle with it which aren't cheap to replace. Cheaper to have it unjammed by a tech.
