What your describing is usually a video chip problem, if you had to send it in for repair under a recall or warranty issue, and it was repaired by Toshiba, then by all means contact them and seek further repair. Or you can also politely tell them that you would like them to replace the laptop with a similar model. I have worked with Toshiba as well as many other brands, and I have found that most if not all companies will be willing to " Make it right" for the consumer.

You more than likely need a New Battery. Before you buy a new one, I suggest that you check the Battery Recall List on your Laptops Manufacturer's Website. If it is a Recall Item, they will replace it for free. Lucky4lynn2 :) please rate me, ok?

Power light is on, no POST
With power cord connected no add on ram just the basic system ram the laptop should post if it's not she's dead could be mother board CPU not ram the system will beep code you if ram. I sorry to say that it sounds like your laptop died. try taking out the add on ram use your power cord that will tell you right there. was it working before you replaced the ram?

look in hardware devices.in the list which comes up look in network devices or underneath the laptop should be a removable panel (1 screw)underthis you will see a board with 2 wires on it the wires are held down with silver press stud.hope this helps.p.s.is there a button on the laptop to switch wireless on and off?

Call Toshiba first. Depending on the problem. Because there are two recalls on that model of toshiba. One is a problem with the BIOS trying to load windows through the network (I know... weird) and the other is a battery recall.

Okay, sorry to disappoint you, but you may have a faulty motherboard. You have a nVidia GeForce Go 7600 video card, which are prone to heat issues, resulting in failure. Dell and HP have been recalling laptops with the 7 and 8 series GPUs.

Call up Toshiba, and even if you are out of warrenty, tell them that the video card on your motherboard is bad. Educate yourself here before calling though:
