Please help me set my lg microwave clock has custom setting button

It is energy saving mode, its a bad design because it doesn't let you keep the clock displayed. Only will stay on 5 min

To set the clock:

1. Push the [Clock] Button
2. Enter the time with the keypad. For 8:37, type 8 3 7 for example.
3. Touch [Start/Enter]
4. Press [1] for AM, [2] for PM.
5. Press [Start/Enter] again to finish.

personal preferences. Simply press the My Settings
button to configure the following options
No. 3 - Clock display control 1=12HR 2=24HR"

The MS-1446SQP is the version of this microwave sold in Mexico. To set the clock, press the button labeled Parrar/Borrar (Stop/Clear on English microwaves) in case any cooking programs are running. Then press the button with the clock face (Reloj). Then press the touch pad labeled Inicio/Inicio Rapido (Start/Fast Start). Type in the 4 digits of the current time (24 hour format). Then press Inicio again. (Note: I have left off the accents.)

Push button that says 'clock' then use the '10min' button to set hour, '1min' to set 10 minute intervals, then '10sec' button to set minutes. Click 'clock' button again to save. The trick is to make sure the the colon like dot separator on the clock is flashing when you try to make changes. Did my head in working this out... in the end I had to ask my wife...

After spending 25 minutes on hold while LG try to find out how their own product sets the clock, I now know that the LG MS1949G Microwave open does NOT have the ability to set a clock that shows the time of day.

Good Morning,
Unplug the oven and wait 3 minutes then plugit back in and check to see that it operates normally. Do not run the oven empty - place a cup of water in it. Let me know if this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

After setting the time push the clock button again and it should start working after a minute passes (on some models you have to hit the start button after setting thr time!
