I would check to see if the spark plug is firing first off and if it is ok check the plug wire and make sure there is no damage to it. If that is ok then you probably have a bad coil. You can use a spark plug tester and see if you are getting fire from the coil if not you will need to replace it. If you change the coil be sure to note the air gap between the coil and the flywheel then set the new one to approx. the same distance. Hope this helps.
is your spark plug getting wet from fuel? try take air snorkel off carb and give it a shot of carb cleaner if it fires you have a fuel problem if it doesent fire , and plug is wet pull plug and rollover and get excess fuel out of cylinder, and try carb cleaner again, if no luck check compression, then if good go to flywheel and see if loose
yes, it is. i suggest checking to make sure the plug is firing--you can check by removing it, plugging it back into the plug wire and resting the threads of the plug on any ground--usually right outside the spot where the plug screws in. have someone pull the cord while you see if the plug fires. DON'T touch the plug while the engine is being cranked. also, even if you see a spark, it may not fire inside the engine. if the spark is weak, you may want to put in a new one.
if you have no fire to the plug of course you have replaced the plug but now find the kill switch wire disconect it then see if it fires if it doesnot fire it is the ign coil
try checking to see if spark plug firing ,, if it is not firing the magneto is bad,, just follow the plug wire and you find it,, here is a way to check the fire,, take spark plug out take a pair of rubber or plastic coated pliers and hold to some metal while someone pull it if you dont see spark then this is your problem,, hope this help you
This is Usually Caused by a Bad Ign Coil/Module. Replace the Ign Coil/Module and the Problem should be Corrected unless the Rings are Worn Out.
Operate the Unit until it Quits and then Check for the Plug Firing.
If the Plug is Not Firing, then a New Ign Coil/Module is Required.
Hope this Helps.
Mcculloch MB3202 anti-vibration back pack leaf blower, runs better at the middle setting of the choke than it does if it's wide open the way it should be. Can't get it to blow leaves well. Owners manual lost. ANY ADVICE???????? New gas, spark plug starts on the first pull but just doesn't give out like it should.
