SOURCE: error code on Frigidaire FEB24S2AS oven is F3.

On frigidaire manufactured ranges the fault code "F3" means the ERC/EOC (electronic control) has detected a "open" thermistor/temperature sensor.

if you feel up to it, here's what you can do.

**FIRST; unplug the unit from the wall or shut off the breaker.**

*you will also require a multi-meter or a ohm meter. a measuring device of some kind to check the value of the sensor once removed.

most sensors can be replaced without opening the back panel or sliding out the range and can be done from inside the oven, but be careful not to let the sensor connector slide back thru the opening after disconnecting it.

1) having shut off power to the unit, look into the oven and you'll see the sensor coming thru the back of the oven liner. (skinny pen like instrument) this device will be fastened to the liner by 2 screws, either philips head (star) or robertson (square). some are even small 1/4 inch nut heads, rarely.

2) remove these screws and gently pull the sensor toward you...slowly. you don't want to yank it, and you need to be sure the harness will come thru that small opening (some don't-most do, don't force it. it just means you'll have to unfasten the rear panel of the range, no big deal really). as I said before make sure the connector isn't going to fall back thru the hole when you unfasten the wires.

3) with the sensor removed, measure the ohm value between the two pins at the harness. if the sensor is truely "open" you should get a reading up around 3k ohms. replace it. possible sensor #'s are 316134900, 316217002 and 316217001. those are just the ones I'm aware of. cross reference with your model number at a local parts depot, or online supplier.

if you only get a reading around a thousand ohms, it's good. that may indicate a poor electronic control, the "watchdog" in the processor is "lieing" err, giving false readings/codes. don't worry about that right now though. my advice is for the sake of $20-$40US get a sensor and replace it first before condemning a potentially $200 to $300US control.

hope that helps,

good luck

SOURCE: I have a frigidaire oven

Hi

Error F3 appears when there is something wrong with the keypad/electronic control. Check that the keypad is firmly connected with the control board, then press Cancel, if error appears then you'll need to check the keypad. To resolve this issue disconnect the power to oven. Now gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC). Now unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC, it would be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide. Make sure that the cable is not cut and nothing is shorted on the keypad. Turn power back on to stove and observe. If the error is still there then you would need to replace the board. Hope this helps...

SOURCE: Frigidaire model FEF352CATB has a F3 error code

Hi - Typically error code F3 indicates a faulty sensor probe or wiring harness between sensor probe and EOC. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the circuit breaker off for two minutes (this usually will clear most false error codes). Turn on the range and if resetting the unit proves to be ineffective, I would recommend contacting a professional to move forward accurately.

My frigerdaire oven heats for a while about 15-30 minutes then shuts down with a beeping noise and a f3 code.

    Good Afternoon Friend,

I see that your Frigidaire double oven heats up for about 15-30 minutes, then shuts down and begins beeping while showing an F3error code. The F3 states that the oven is sensing a potential runaway temperature. This is possibly a sensor issue or it could be a false error code.

I suggest giving your double oven a hard reset by cutting the power at the circuit breaker for at least 2-3 minutes.

After restoring power you will need to reset the clock. You will do this by entering in the time and pressing start.

Let the oven heat up, and if you are still receiving an F3 error code, I suggest either contacting the manufacturer or contacting your local authorized technician to diagnose your appliance. Hope this helps.

Oven beeps and show F1 and F3 while trying to cook or even 2hrs after cooking.

F1 code is a "EOC (Electronic Oven Control) failure" Replace your oven control

F3 code is a bad oven sensor the sensor should have a ohm reading of 1100 at room temp. Replace your oven sensor as well.

    F3 F3 F3

F3 code means "The oven temperature sensor is open". Check for open wire connection between EOC (Electronic Oven Control - Clock) and the oven temperature sensor. Replace sensor if no wiring problem.
If your not sure how to do this, I recommend calling a professional to get it fixed.

Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.
