SOURCE: smeg oven SE399X/5 - digital clock issue

I'm glad I'm not the only one either - in the end I bought new buttond from smeg service/parts centre on their website. I took apart the front of the oven and re-seated the clock. I pushed in the new buttons and now its all ok. My problem was that because the clock had mis-lodged the buttons were touching the metal at the front of the oven, and like you when the grill is on the metal gets too hot and melts all the buttons. So the clock has to be in exactly the right place or it will melt the buttons so much that they will not press in...what a bummer!!! :-)

SOURCE: burners on gas stove work but oven and broiler not working

Most ovens, unless they have an electric igniter (does it go tick tick tick when plugged in and turned on? If so, it has an electic ignition.) have a pilot light. In order to keep gas from flowing out, and to prevent a possible explosion when the pilot light has gotten put out, they have an electric thermocouple on them that shuts off the gas when it gets cold. Plug the cord back in, and relight your pilot light by holding the lighter (I recommend a fireplace match or bbq lighter, not a cigarette lighter to prevent singed knuckle hairs!) over the thermocouple for a couple of minutes.

SOURCE: lg lre30451sw oven the start button doesn't work

This happened to me on Christmas Day morning & it happened once before. I finally remembered how I fixed it. Push the "Clear" button & then push the "Start" & keep it held in until you see the lock button light up (takes awhile) & then push the "Clear" button again. After I did this the "Clock" worked again - reset the clock to the correct time & push "Start" Then click on "Bake" set your temperature & push "Start". Hope this works for you. It got me out of cooking Christmas Dinner, but I fixed it today!!

The oven won't turn on. We are unable to set the clock either. The display flickers but doesn't display.

There are lots of different timers on fisher and paykal The last one I reset was a few weeks ago it involves pressing 2 buttons at the same time I think it was the oven on and oven off buttons but I am not sure You will know when you have pressed the right 2 buttons the display will stop flickering set the clock time using the up down arrow buttons The auto light should not be on if it is press the manual button Regards Geoff Stove Recyclers

No name on the oven so presume it's a Europa same as the cooktop. It won't move off 0:00 with automatics on the lefthand side showing.

Hi -

I'm assuming this is an Omega/Creda Europa oven. All you need to do to make the oven work again is set the clock. The 0:00 and "AUTO" will stop flashing and the oven will work again. You didn't specify a model number, but you should be able to set the clock as follows:

1. Hold down the two buttons on the left-hand side under the clock display. One should have a symbol of a bell and the other, a symbol of a cookpot (not a cookpot and 'STOP').
2. While still holding both of these buttons, use the + and - buttons to set the clock to the correct time. The clock needs to be set in 24 hour format.

If this doesn't work, look for the buttons under the clock with the bell symbol and the cookpot symbol. Hold both of these buttons in and use the + and - buttons to set the clock.

If this doesn't work or your clock doesn't have these buttons, let me know and I'll check for other possible methods of setting the clock on Europa ovens. If you can find the model number it would assist me greatly. This should be on a sticker on the rim of the oven and can only be seen when the oven door is open - possibly at the bottom. The model number should be something like 40-1, 60-1 or 66-1.

If you can't find the model number, please let me know how many buttons there are in total below the clock and which symbols are written above each button and the order from left to right. I will then be able to provide the correct instructions for your oven.

Hope this helps.

BElectric

My oven is saying "stop" . Previously to this is was showing F02 and the fan wouldn't turn off. We turned the main switch for oven off and back on and it now says "stop"

Previous fault F02 is indicating an overheat fault- service manual says to replace main electronic control board. However, switching off at wall has reset the clock- you need to set the time before the oven will work-press middle button until small triangle is next to clock icon, set time using temperature dial. Once clock has ben set, try using oven to see if F02 fault reappears- sometimes switching off at wall will clear fault. Good luck!!

I have an old whilpool kitchen range and I moved and the timer buttons got turned. How to set the timer buttons to get the stove burners and oven to work, lost the manual.

if you have a clock where the hands go around and smaller start and stop clocks, here's what to do. set the clock to current time, push in the stop button and turn it until it stays in, then push in the start button and turn it until it pops out. try this.

Our frigidaire flat-top electric stove stopped working

Sound like you make have a loose neutral on the cord where it attaches to the range or in the electrical receptacle where it plugs in, you can check the cord by pulling the range out, remove the small access cover to the cord connection area, after you have unplugged it and just tightened all the nuts to all connections on the cord. I advise an electrician to check the receptacle. I hope this has helped you. Have a great new year.

I cant' get oven out of cleaning mode

after you re-energize the unit, press, or press/hold the stop/cancell or clear button. Really need to know the model number for exact procedure, however, this is a generic solution.

let me know if this works, if not, will need model number of oven.
