What is the procedures to take down the led back light for a Samsung un55h6203af led tv

Hard to believe tech support at Samsung would give you such bad advice, there is a 90% chance of bad LED backlights and it not being a board issue. If you have a multi meter you can confirm it's not the main, look for BL_on pin on the connector going to the main from power supply and test that voltage with the set on, it should be around 3.3 volts, if you see that voltage your main board is working

If one of the led lights in back light strip fails, the power supply senses the current change and shuts down. The LED strips have to be tested to see which one failed.

There is no one answer that fits all any number of defective parts can cause this, supplest you have it diagnosed, do not start buying parts.

I don't have the service manual for your set in front of me but I believe this sound is coming from the inverter board, the set takes 24 vdc from the power board into this board then increases the voltage to about 600 volts to drive the CCFL tubes in the panel, a guess would be you have a bad xfmr that is arcing on that board.

It is a common problem for a Samsung LED TV, the problem is defective LED back lights strips.

If you have done the flashlight test and an image is present on the screen when the light is shined from behind then the backlight or the backlight regulator is defective, both should be replaced.

If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.
