Fridge keeps beeping or buzzing: The following is for Frigidaire models but others can be addressed similarly.

Several Frigidaire refrigerator models have an electronic control panel on the freezer door the owner can use to adjust the internal temperature, dispense ice and water and receive notification about issues such as the need to replace a water filter. The refrigerators also emit a beep for various actions and as an occasional alarm. Determining what causes the beeps necessitates some troubleshooting.
Temperature Controls ·A Frigidaire refrigerator's display panel blinks when the control panel is touched to set temperature controls. After pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, press the arrow buttons within five seconds to increase or decrease the desired temperature. If you do not press the arrow buttons within five seconds after pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, the refrigerator beeps to indicate the current setting will stay in place.

Door Open ·When you leave the refrigerator or freezer door open, the refrigerator beeps. Also, the "Door Ajar" indicator illuminates on the appliance's display panel. Shutting the door and pressing "Alarm Reset" stops the beeping and turns off the "Door Ajar" indicator light.
·The Frigidaire refrigerator has a control lock feature that prevents use of its control panel or dispensers when the unit is locked. When the control lock is active, a beep sounds when a keypad or dispenser is pressed. Release the control lock by pressing the "Control Lock" icon for three seconds. A beep will sound, and the icon's light will go out.
Power Reset ·A power reset is occasionally necessary if the Frigidaire refrigerator's control panel does not work normally or a reset function on the keypad does not work. A power reset involves disconnecting power to the refrigerator by unplugging its power cord from the electrical outlet, waiting 30 seconds and plugging the power cord back into the electrical outlet. When the control panel resets, a beep sounds. If the refrigerator beeps even after a power reset and the beeps' source is not known, contact Frigidaire.

SOURCE: noise from back of Samsung freezer near ice maker model RS2530BBP

I figured out what was going on with mine and fixed it (without needing to buy replacement parts). In the freezer section, about a third of the way down the back of the freezer was a bulged-out plastic covering, held in place by four screws. The two screws on top are covered by oval plastic that pops off easily with the help of a knife. If you take the screws out, the hard part is that the bulge/cover is still going to be frozen in place. I used an old-fashioned bottle opener/churchkey to gently pry the compartment open. When I got inside, it was easy to see what was happening--the plastic fan was hitting ice that had built up behind this cover. I chipped away all the ice, and presto--no more noise!

SOURCE: we own a samsung cooltech

Im no expert, but you can try this, take the back bottom cover off and you will see two drairn pipes going into a drip tray. remove those pipes ( just pull them down ) make SURE they are not blocked ( there is a rubber thing at the top that can close up--- just cut it open ) place a bucket under those pipes and leave your fridge off and the doors OPEN........ it may take a couple of days for ALL the ice to defrost. when you think its done--- leave it a few hours and if there is any water being collected --- you still have ice in there. i was amazed at how much and for how long water kept dripping out of the fridge drain pipe.... the pipe nearest to the compresser is for the frezzer, If the sensor that tells the fridge to get cold is all iced up it wont even try to get cold--- it thinks it is already.

SOURCE: Samsung SR S2028CSS Fridge Freezer - Fridge temperature problems

Try setting it to lower temperature. If that don't work the thermostat is bad.

SOURCE: Samsung Cooltech fridge - type SR-52NXA - when

Yes, I had this problem. $85 visit from a very condescending repair man located a piece of old hard cheese that had become wedged in and stopped the thing from turning - the noise had been terrible. Fixed in 2 minutes - embarrassment lasted much longer.

SOURCE: My Samsung RSH1DTMH Fridge Freezer the fan started

We had the same problem with our Samsung RSH1 fridge freezer. We bought a kit from a company called Appliance DIY Repairs, that were recommended to us by a friend. We fitted the kit. It was an absolute doddle - and considerably cheaper than getting an enginer out to fix it.

I know that my fridge freezer is get old but it is still good except of the notice it make is now very load could it be the compressor. And if it is can it be sorted

There are a couple of reasons it could be. If the freezer has a fan unit the fan may need tightening or the bearing is shot, or the compressor is low on gas and making the unit to work harder, hence the seemingly louder noise.

Keep your hand on condenser coil if it's visible or left and or right side body of the fridge. If you feel hot the gas is o.k. Otherwise no gas or chock. You have to repair and refill the gas.

Freezer temperature display keeps flashing

on the main circuit board on top of the fridge is a button with "test" on it. hold that in for a few sec, it should start beeping at you. push it again and it will beep again, do this about 4 time till it goes quite. this may fix it but the reason for it is prob your sensor is covered in ice, you need to leave it off with the doors open. there are 2 drain pipes at the back of the fridge ( bottom ) defrost it till no more water comes out of these, when you think its done, leave it for a few more hours and if any water comes out your not defrosted yet--- mine took almost 3 days.
