47" lg 3D tv won't change inputs and only displays "HDMI 3"

It all depends on how many HDMI input you have in the back of the TV, usually most models have 3. If you already have the TV and the sound already connected, then all you need to do is connect the player to the back of the TV to any of the HDMI input. Those are usually mark as HDMI 1 HDMI 2 and HDMI 3, so when you use your remote control to change the input in the TV, make sure to which input you connect the player to. You don't have to touch or do anything to the sound system.

Replace with a good quality cable.

have you tried connecting ur laptop via hdmi to tv? if it works you should probably check tv settings for hdmi, if not then it is possible that the hdmi controller from tv to have some problems, i had a similar problem with a philips tv and took it to service ending up in a total replacement of motherboard and led display

Is there a setting in settings that allows that?

Is the HDMI input device powered on?

Go to settings/display/automatic and that should give you 720p-3d, 1080p-3d enabled

I solved the same problem by disabling SIMPLINK from OPTIONS menu. I own the LG TV myself. The LG TV comes SIMPLINK "ON" as default setting from the factory. Go to MEMU -> OPTIONS -> Turn SIMPLINK to "OFF". This should work....

u need tv remote, with that u can go to the options for ur tv and enable the hdmi allowing ur ps3 to come onto ur tv.
