LG 42PC3D-UE Turning on, clicking, then turning off & repeat

42" plasma that will turn on, (green light comes on), then it will click and turn off. It will continue doing this until I completely unplug the power cord. Is this a power supply issue?

Replace the power supply it is a simple fix if you can hear the relays click 2 times or more replace the power supply board you can order them from UNION Electronics ask for kyle when you call ,,if the power supply isnt the problem then it will be the control board located below the power supply board I have repaired a few of these the voltages are marked on the power sullpy board conections be careful there is a VERY HIGH AND DANGEROUS VOLTAGE FEEDING THE X AND Z BOARDS DONT REMOVE THIS WITH SET PLUGED IN IT IS HOT ENOUGH TO BURN A HOLE IN YOUR SKIN AND EVEN DO MORE DAMAGE TO YOU if your not sure what to do Call LG they have a good support theam there

Yes this is the problem with the SMPS section or with the power switch circuit. You take it to the appropriate service to get the things done and to avoid the major issues.

My LG Plasma 42PC3D turns on and off repeatedly. I turn on my FIOS set top box first and than the TV and it turns on and off repeatedly (front bottom display goes red and green, red and green repeatedly)....

Your plasma TV has a power supply 6709900019A. These power supplies failed due to defective capacitors. See the picture below and check the capacitors mark with the red lines. There are 10 capacitors that should be replaced even if they do not show signs of bulging/swelling on top.
The value of the capacitors is 3300uF/10V but you can use 25 volts as long as they fit in the space provided by design.

I can't turn on my 32 inch plasma tv by LG.A green light flashes twice on the power indicator than turns red.

The flashing indicator is telling you the fault. Give the number of flashes to the LG service department and they can help you with your issue. It will likely need service.

LG Plasma 42pc3d turns on, pops, turns off

Its very likely that you need to have LG perform a sodtware upgrade on your unit. Contact LG and see if your tv is one of the applicable units with software upgrade issues, please let me know if it works. Good Luck.

I have an lg plasma tv

Never had that model but had other similar models do that when dust shorted out the High Voltage section.
I suggest clean it out with a gentle vacuum and an upholstery attachment. First check to see if set is under warranty.
Unless you are checked-out with high voltages suggest have a qualified tech test and do this for you.
