I have a Samsung LED TV model # UN40D6000SFXZA, I have a picture but over time it is getting more & more verticle white lines. I'm looking for advice on what parts to possibly replace. Thanks, Vance

Hopefully these help. Could be as simple as unplugging it for a while- to needing a new TV. Some companies have great customer service and will get you help cheap.

Not good. You may have a tab failure. A repair shop may be able to diagnose and repair this, but most likely the lcd panel is broken. The panel is the most expensive part of flat tv's. A new panel will cost more than a used tv.

looks like the main board is on backorder..id replace that first..its most suspect..lemme know how it goes

If you've cleaned the connexion between the motherboard and the display panel, I'm afraid the likely problem is the display panel.

If you have a friendly local repair shop, they might take a look at it and test with a replacement panel to diagnose the problem.

No Picture and no sound

All I can say is when you watch T.V. the plasmas run off of plasma gas and when you leave something on for so long it burns in the screen. I have the same T.V. and when watching like the weather channel it leaves lines but they go away. If yours are permanent then you can't do anything, but it may help if you go on your remote and go to "menu" then look for "setup" and scroll down with the arrows on your remote. Look for "screen burn protection" and select "white screen". This will make your whole screen white and it may take out the lines. If you let it sit white it won't hurt it. All one color won't hurt, the only thing that hurts is like bright white lines in front of a dark background. Just give your T.V. a break from time to time ESPECIALLY ON VIDEO GAMES. T.V. shows that are HD usually have their channel icons that move or are very dim and they won't hurt. Just go to what I told you and let it sit about 20 minutes, if that doesn't help, then the T.V. you have i believe comes with a 2-year standard warranty and if it's under warranty take it back if you have the reciept. If no reciept then call 1-800-SAMSUNG.

Convergence problems are what you have possibly a pincushion error. Either way if you have to have a repair shop do the repair, you should look at replacing the old TV.
