I've got an Element FLX-3202 which shut down and will not power up again. I checked the main fuse and its OK. My uneducated guess is that the power supply is toast. The local TV Repair shop said it can't get parts for this TV. I went to the Element Electronics website for product support. The number it gave for the FLX-3202 was to a Polaroid support site. Are the Polaroid FLM-3232 and the Element FLX-3202 identical Television sets?
Not sure if there the same but the boards inside may be.
This sounds like the problem most LCD tv's get with swelled up
capacitors in the power supply board. look for circular cylinder shaped
parts rapped in plastic with writting on the sides, and metal tops, if
the top is rounded over, not flat, it is bad. replace them.
Yes they are the same. You need to find a good power supply. The problem is they want to sell you the whole assembly and not just the power supply.
I changed my power supply and still get nothing. No lights at all. Set is the same as the FLM-3232 (mine is a FLM-323B) IR board? Main board? I have checked the fuses. If one one could tell me were to start checking for voltages maybe the 5 volt signal power from the Power button? Any help would be appreciated.
Yes hardware is the same, NO software/firmware is different !
