My DCC1000 Cuisinart Coffee Maker shuts off.

The coffee maker shuts off immediately after coffee has brewed. Sometime it will come back on and some time it will not. The times it will not come on, I cannot make it come on by switching it off and on again. It's just as though it has no power. All power connection have been inspected and are good.
When the problem first started, it would beep intermittenly after coffee was made, then the problem got worse as described above.
Thank you,
Buzzie Snipes

Why does me Cuisinart coffee maker shut its self off immediately after brewing

You seem to have the AUTO OFF feature programmed to zero hours. You can set it up to 4 hours in 1-hour increments. Once you have set AUTO OFF to something greater than zero, you can
restart the timing cycle by cycling the on-off switch off then back on.

Coffee maker shuts off too soon after brewing.

Hello FloydBob, The Cuisinart DCC-1200 has the ability to program the auto-off function that keeps your coffee warmer plate on after brewing is complete.

The unit lets you select the time increments from zero up to 4 hours.

See page 6 of the attached manual for the full instructions for reprogramming the coffee maker.

To program the Variable Auto Off:
1. Turn the FUNCTION KNOB to the “Auto Off”
position. Press and hold the “Hour” button
for 2 seconds. The clock display will start
blinking.
2. Program the coffeemaker to shut off from
zero to four hours after brew cycle is
finished by using the “Hour” and “Minute”
push-buttons.

I figured you might also like to have a complete instruction/owners manual so you can have access for any other questions you might have about your coffee maker, in the future.

Coffee brews, then it immediately shuts off.

When you set the time for the machine to remain on after brewing you may have set it to zero. Am I in the ballpark?

Cuisinart coffee maker won't brew

Here is the basic troubleshooting for the Cuisinart coffee makers:
Make sure all baskets are in proper place – especially if unit is beeping.
Do not use a paper and a gold-tone or other permanent filter at the same time.
Unplug for LONGER THAN 15 full minutes to reset.
Clean by brewing 2 oz of distilled white vinegar/2 oz water.
If these methods fail, the unit probably requires replacement – call Cuisinart as they have a longer-than-standard warranty.

Cuisinart grind and brew

This happens when the machine needs cleaned. Fill coffee maker with white vineger instead of water. Turn grind off, make sure empty pot is in place. Brew a pot of hot vineger. Repeat. Brew a pot of hot water. Repeat. This process removes mineral buildups inside machine. If you have access to filtered water, start using that to brew your coffee. I do and probably do this process 1 per 6 weeks.

Cuisinart DCC1000 coffee maker

At the bottom of the reservoir there is a hole the water flows through to the heater. When my coffeemaker did what yours does it was because a little valve that sits in that hole had popped out, and after tamping it back in it solved the problem. The valve is supposed to keep the hot water from going back up into the reservoir. Without it the water backs up, causing the steam to shoot up as you know, and heats up the water in the reservoir. This causes the thermostat to turn it off prematurely. The valve can come out of the hole either if the coffeemaker is turned upside down, or if there is a major buildup of mineral deposits that need to be flushed out -- they can overheat and cause too much back-pressure to the valve. Flush it with vinegar and push the valve back in as tight as you can, then be careful if you turn it upside down.
