Best answer I have so far is Your Cell-Phone Provider does NOT allow your Phone to do Internet calls over a WiFi connection thru the internet unless You pay for it. Didn't used to be that way, had the prob with T-Mobile myself. Was free for a bit, then T-Mobile started charging me or turned off the feature. SUCKED! The speed of the internet the cable is faster than a wireless connection, the only advantage of wireless is that you don't have to run a cable to the computer to get internet. Hope it helps!

But you need to keep 1 Computer on to keep the connection alive for other users

Most Samsung Mobile show signal tower even if there's no network accessible. I am not very sure about this model, but you can find out, install an expired sim card and check if the network tower is showing or not, or you can just power it on without sim card and check the status of the network tower.

If you suspect the Phone, then first try your sim card on another handset/mobile and make a call using the sim card. In case it's working, then the problem is with your phone, could be settings or could be hardware or software related issue.

Reset your phone settings to it's factory default by going to the "Restore Factory" or "Master Reset" and make the changes. Try searching the Network Manually and do check the network settings very carefully.
