Enabling a extension to ring on night mode

if you know your password for your phone system do this. enter programming mode by pressing transfer key, type 800 enter your password then volume up key then speaker key. go to program 601 station groups find unused station group ie 510. make this group unconditional and under members add all thr extensions you want to ring then press speaker key. then go to program 406. enter line number of line and under night mode tell it the station group number you programmed above

I believe this is a programming issue.

To change the ringing assignments on extensions enter programming mode by pressing Feature **266344 and password 266344 if it hasn't been changed. You have to do this from an M7310 phone. The top two buttons on each side will move you through programming. The top right button is the SHOW button and the button below it is the NEXT button. The top left button is the HEADER button and the button below it is the BACK button.

Your first category should be TERMINALS & SETS. Press the SHOW button and using the dial pad enter the extension number. The display should show the extension number or name. Press SHOW three times and the display should show LINE ___.
With options to SCAN or LIST. Pressing SCAN will show the lines assigned to the extension. Use the CHNG option to change how the line is on the phone. RING ONLY - UNASSIGNED - APPEAR ONLY - AND APPEAR & RING. Change the lines you want to ring in NORMAL DAY MODE to APPEAR & RING for this extension and press SCAN to move to the next assigned line. Use this same method for any extension you want to change the ringing on.

This depends what voicemail you have, SVM OR TVM. and you need to know what group rings in each mode SVM day *47 (voicemail extension number) (PIN number) *38801 record STORE NIGHT *47 (voicemail extension number) (PIN number) *38811 record STORE TVM voicemail extension number (500 or 200) #6* (ringing group number) option 3 then 1 then 1 follow the prompts

Night service will only control if AA to answer (main greeting) or human, you!.
If people enter extension and it goes straight to vmail then the user invoked that option (Feature 987) which is what you should do when you leave your office.

It depends on the phone system. 78x commands force the system into different modes. 781 is usually day, 782 night. It may have to be dialed from extension 101 or maybe it can be dialed from any phone. YMMV. I guess when a phone fits on 18 different phone systems you get answers like this LOL

It sounds like you don't have it programmed to ring. The volume controls the sound, but programming controls the ringing. Try night mode (782 from extension 101) to put it into night and test again, or check out the sytsem programming for ring modes.

Sounds like the ring assignmet programming has defaulted.( all lines ring at station 4 only)
To change the ringing on a prostar 816 you first need to be at a display set (doesn't matter what the extension number is).
with the handset down enter #20 the screen should say MMC DISABLED
1) enter in 1 2 3 4 1 # (that enables programming)
2) enter in #62 the screen should say day ring assn
3) press the line you wish to program
4) press the buttons for the extensions that you wish to ring (the ones in the right next to the handset)
5) press # when finished with the line
repeat for each line

you will need to access system program mode to change ringing inmemory block 4-12

I was told that the day and night settings in the local applications must be the same. It is in your night call routing table that you need to place the extension in order for the system to know which recording to play when. Then, your system will play the application when it is set in night mode. Hint: When you place the extension in the call routing tables make sure the extension is placed ABOVE the +ALL CALLS line, if applicable, and your ring-in-destination is set to your appropriate application recording. The programs involved with you ringing are 81 ( no light or Day Mode ), 84 ( blinking red light or Day 2 Mode ), and 87 ( solid red light or Night Mode ). To change the ringing assignments you need to know the port numbers of the phones you want to ring or not ring. You can do this by pressing DN/ICM dialing # 4 0 2 at each phone, the diaplay will show the physical and logical port numbers. These numbers will be used to turn on or off the aaociated lamps within the above programs. Do you have anyone on staff that understands the system programming ? Let me know ...Mike
