If you are trying to get the remote programmed to the receiver you can remove the smartcard from the receiver and that will prompt the system info screen. This will allow you to program the remote to the receiver.

If you need the process for programming the remote, here it is:

1. Go to System Info screen (in this case -- obtain by removing smartcard from receiver)
2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4. Press the pound (#) button
5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.

You will need to program your remote to your tv by using the 3 digit tv code. press and hold in sat button till all lights light up then release, then enter your 3 digit tv code then press pound.

You will need to program your dish remote to your tv, find the 3 digit code for your tv and on your dish remote press the TV button till all lights light up at the top of the rem, then enter the 3 digit tv code and then press pound. this will now programm that rem to your tv. be sure to press the SAT button to put back into SAT mode to operate your Dish programming.

We will need to set the remote address again. Using the front panel buttons on the receiver press the menu button twice. This will put you at the system info screen. You will see the remote addresses for tv 1 and 2. They will probably both be set to 1 if the receiver reset. Press and hold the SAT button on the TV1 remote until all lights across the top light up and release. Now key in a two digit number between 1 and 16 (for 1-9 precede that numeric with a zero) now press the pound key at the bottom right of the remote numeric keypad. The SAT button will flash three times and press the record button until the remote address on the screen displays the one you entered. The receiver should now be able to be controlled by the remote. In order to program the remote to the TV turn the TV on and put the remote in SAT mode by pressing the SAT button in the upper left hand corner of the remote.Now press and hold the TV button Next to the SAT button until all buttons light up across the top of the remote and release. Now press the small red TV button and release. This should result in the top clear TV being lit constantly. Now press the arrow up key slowly until the TV turns off. Once it does press the arrow down key once and then the arrow up key. The TV should turn on. Now press the pound symbol at the botttom right of the remote. The TV button on the top should flash three times. Now you can use the remote to control the TV. If you are unable to get the TV to turn off then the TV is not compatible with the remote.

If the remote is not controlling the receiver first ensure that you have the correct remote for that location. If you do and it is at the receiver location ensure there is nothing blocking the IR cells on the front of the receiver. If it is a duo receiver and the issue is with th TV2 location ensure that the small antenna is on the back of the receiver in the correct port. Try this method as it is a bit easier than keying in different codes. One thing to consider is that not all TV's are compatible with the remote so if you have changed the TV out you may experience this issue.
