SOURCE: Is there censor available for a 308-2316 weather station that will make the outdoor temp more accurate?

The most important things to remember with weather stations are placement and battery power. To get an accurate reading, you must have the sensors in the proper spot. If they are on a roof, they must be at least 3 feet above the roof. The batteries should be changed yearly and replaced with Lithium type batteries. Your sensor suite is a combination of anemometer and thermo-hygrometer. You may be able to purchase another temp sensor. The manual shows multiple channels for that application. To disable the alarm function on your Taylor weather station type WEC-1502, follow these steps:

Press and hold the "ALARM" button on the top of the unit until the alarm icon disappears from the display.
Release the "ALARM" button.
Press the "MODE" button on the top of the unit until the display shows the "CLOCK" mode.
Press and hold the "ALARM" button again until the alarm icon disappears from the display.
Release the "ALARM" button.

Your Taylor weather station should now be set without the alarm function.
