You have two choices : When you change your oil- measure the outside of the threads & convert to metric The measure the thread pitch or just go to a store & match it up The second option- is to call a dealers parts dept & ask then to look it up
Maybe not shot, but not working either. Its possible the filter was not installed properly, or something has happened to the pump. Did you take it back to the shop ?
Is theTruck totally destroyed??? Some sensors, are designed to deploy, by movement to complete stop, in a portion of a second. I've been in 2 bad wrecks with my Maxda Protege. I time "T" boned a car. When it got hit,& was dead stop, they deployed. Light poles, (aluminum for sure) & some concrete poles are regulated by the US Dept. of Transportation. They are called "break aways". Years ago, poles were mounted on 3 - 4 ft concrete bases. The impact to the base would crush the car, if not the pole would "smash" thru the top of the vehicle. If that truck is repairable, I would have to believe he hit a "breakaway" & the breakaway did its job
show up at a dept sroree or jewery store and have them sell you a battrery for it. Most stores the cleark will put it in for you. Sure your dealer can do it too but it'll cost more. Battrries are about $3 at Wal-Mart and they're in the Jewery dept.
Before you start looking at replacing solenoids, here is something that you need to know:
Toyota has a technical service bulletin regarding this issue.
Changing the solenoids will NOT rectify your situation. Replacing the ECU in the car is what you need to do. The logic/programming is the problem, not the solenoids.
The good news is this: The ECU is covered, under the factory warranty! It will be replaced for free, if your car has less than 80,000 miles on it.
If you have more miles than 80K, call the Toyota Customer Experience Center at 800-331-4331; an analyst may be able to help offset your costs; they do this quite frequently.
This should get you fixed up. Thanks for visiting FixYa!
