Temporary suspension of adsl service - Computers & Internet

ADSL needs a physical landline to connect to. If you're asking if you need landline phone service, then it depends on your local telco. There is nothing fundamental to the design of ADSL that prevents it from being provisioned on a line that doesn't have voice service. but in many cases it's not possible due to implementation details (such as using the phone number as the ADSL user ID).

First, try a different ADSL modem.
Then, call your Internet Service Provider, and get them to trouble-shoot.
Finally, switch to a cable-modem provider.

power down the modem . Check ADSL filters match the ADSL service eg ADSL 2 service has ADSL 2 filters.
Power on Modem wait 5 minutes for it to resync with DSL and see if internet is back up.

Your ex-next door neighbour needs to contact his Internet Service Provider to get a new ADSL connection linked to his new phone line. The original ADSL connection is tied to his old phone line/number and it will not work in his new location. Each ADSL connection is setup at the local telephone exchange and tied to that phone line/number..
If his Internet Service Provide does not operate nor can provide an ADSL service in his new area then he needs to find a new Internet Service Provider.

It seems that you will have to configuer the modem manually. Cöntact ur service provider and ask for the following info: adsl username adsl password VPI AND VCI, MULTIPLEXING METHOD. Once u have these info, follow the steps below on a wired computer connected to the router. 1. Open browser and type the address as http://192.168.0.1 or http://www.routerlogin.com. 2. Login with username as admin and password as password. 3. Click on Basic settings and enter the username and password. Click on ADSL settings and enter the required info. Rate it, if it helps.

it is not your modem it is definetly BSNL. but if you can afford then try either switching to other adsl service or changing your modem.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your phone and sorry to say but you can't track it using the serial or IMEI number, what i would like to suggest is to call your service provider have the line on temporary suspension so that nobody can use your phone and check for insurance and warranty. some providers offer insurance and warranty that covers lost and stolen phone.
