Its a flaw with the blue and black denim that they fade. Most people are getting replacement covers, hoods etc from the shop that they bought there pram from or from Silver Cross direct.
I assume that you mean when the pram is in the bassinette mode (for a newborn)?
The answer is yes. I would suggest that prior to folding, ensure that the pram is laying completely flat and that the hood is folded down flat too.

i have a silver cross travel system and can only seem to fit the rain cover on properly when its in pram mode how do you do it when the car seat is attached
there are latches under the fabric on both sides of the hood, it is about an inch down from the front of the hood where it attaches into the main body of the pram, press then both in and lift up, hope you get sorted
