Do you have data roming included in your mobile package? Might also be worth trying to turn on location service on your phone so it can tell where you are

not sure if this is what you are after.. Before you head off abroad, check your network settings. To do this, go to Settings > Mobile Data. Next to Mobile Data Options it will say either Roaming On or Roaming Off. If it says On and you want to make sure you don't spend any extra cash on data while you're abroad, tap this and set it to off.24 Jul 2017
Data roaming is simply cellular internet data but using out of your country. For ex. when you go on holidays to Spain you can use cellular internet from roaming. Roaming is for calls and sms too. And important thing is that roaming is much more expensive then normal in your country
Hi Navya,
You may want to try this steps I have for you resolving your issue on roaming how to remove. Hope it helps.
First, press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds. Tap Airplane Mode. Wait for 1 minute. Press and hold Power button again. Select Turn off Airplane Mode. See if your phone will be normally or still get Roaming.
If not, turn off your phone. Turn it back on. Go to Settings->Wireless & Network->Mobile Networks. Tap to UNCHECK Data roaming. See if your phone will work normally.

If the icon is gone As long that you went inside the Mobile Networks settings and UNCHECK the Data Roaming box. That should work fine.
This is pretty much what you need to do. Just turn off all the roaming features. However when you roam it typically means you dont have service through Sprint so dont be surprised if when you turn off roaming capabilities your phone doesn't get ANY signal. Here's the link to your phones manual page 112 is about roaming.
Setting Roam Mode Your phone allows you to control your roaming capabilities. By using the Roaming menu option, you can determine which signals your phone accepts. Choose from two different settings on your phone to control your roaming experience. 1. Press > Settings > More... > Roaming > Set Mode. 2. Highlight an option and press . n Sprint Only to access only the Sprint network and prevent roaming on other networks. n Automatic to seek service on the Nationwide Sprint Network. When Sprint service is unavailable, the phone searches for an alternate service. Call Guard Your phone has two ways of alerting you when you are roaming off the Nationwide Sprint Network: the onscreen roaming icon and Call Guard. Call Guard makes it easy to manage your roaming by requiring an extra step before you can place or answer a roaming call. (This additional step is not required when you make or receive calls while on the Nationwide Sprint Network.) To turn Call Guard on or off: 1. Press > Settings > More... > Roaming > Call Guard. 2. Select On or Off. To place roaming calls with Call Guard on: 1. From standby mode, dial 1 + area code + the seven-digit number and press . 2. Read the message and press . Note Call Guard is turned on by default on yourphone.
There are two possible problems.
1. Settings on your phone
2. Mobile company have not activated roaming
Both problems can be solved by giving your mobile company a call. They can check the status of your account, and they will probably have the directions to set the correct settings on your phone as well.
hi
triangle means roaming if its a red triangle then your internet is turned off while roaming
go to options>mobile network> data services and select what setting you would like either on all the time, off, or off while roaming
solid triangle means extended network (coverage with another carrier that your service provider has an agreement with). some services might not work
blinking triangle is roaming (on a network with no agreement)...most carriers have simply disabled roaming entirely, you either get their network, or extended network to avoid additional charges. int'l roaming is different, not restricted. if you're near either of the borders, i'd say choose "home only" under network options to avoid int'l charges
