SOURCE: Forerunner 205 wont turn on

"To power the unit back on, press the "Mode" and "Reset" buttons at the same time. Let go of those two buttons, press the power button, and the unit will turn back on."
If the unit is no longer displaying maps or lap data in the PC downloaded history ....perform a reset (as above) AFTER deleting all the Garmin HISTORY. This is done on the unit by navigating through HISTORY to "DELETE ALL" ---> now perform a soft reset.

If the Red Led stays turned on it is as simple as this.....the solder connecting your power on button to the system board in your phone has worn off..... you must pop the power button at the top of your phone off and you will be able to see where the soldering paste has simply worn off. At my job I have a soldering machine so it was not problem for me. I simply took pasted it back to the board with tin.....now this may require some work. just pop off the top section of you phone with a flathead screw driver and pop out the power button. look closely and you should be able to see where the botton has lifted from the little greenish system board..... Find someone to solder it, put it back together and it works like new.........SEE YA

SOURCE: phone turns itself off

yeah and I've heard rummors of a recall. but when my parents went up there to get a new one they told me "its been dropped several times" after going to the backroom for twenty minutes.
Aparently I've been "downloading things" which is **** because I havent, and in the end they kicked my parents out of the store, claiming there was no recall. Kricket, screw you.
You should just call the moterola company, it happens to alot of people.

I have a Panasonic SDR-T55P video camera. The battery seems to be good but the unit turns off immediately after the viewing window is open (red light is on for a few seconds). Any advice?

WHAT MESSAGE IT DISPLAYS ON SCREEN? OR WHAT IS THE RED LIGHT? IS IT THE SAME WHEN IT RECORDS?REMOVE SD CARD AND TRY USE EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY BUT BATTERY MUST BE PANASONIC ONLY AS I SEE IT ON THE MANUAL HERE...About batteries that you can use with this unit

Battery light blinking red during charging

Dell or Panasonic? Your post has both listed.

If the blinking light on a Dell is yellow or amber or orange (somewhere in that color range) and continues to blink the entire time it is plugged into AC power (wall outlet) and when you unplug it from the wall the laptop immediately dies .... then you battery is dead and needs replaced.

If the blinking light stops after a while (perhaps a minute?) and then turns green while plugged into AC power, then it is successfully charging - or so it thinks.

When you unplug it from the wall, does it stay up and running?
If it runs, it's OK - just ignore the light and plan on getting a new battery one day, start browsing now. :)
If it dies immediately upon unplugging, then your battery is dead and needs replaced.

Panasonic vx37

My old Panasonic Palmcorder IQ shows a red light in both switch positions-camera and VCR. Maybe yours has red for camera and green for VCR so you could tell them apart. I found that the Panasonic battery that came with the camera was the cheapest kind with the least charging time. I bought other batteries, they were good for a while, but now, many years later, they won' t hold a charge. Since I am only recording inside of my house, I have resorted to using the AC wall socket for power. I have to take the battery out of the camera. I found a power plug-in hole (like ones on cell phones) in the battery compartment. I also found one of these holes on my battery charger. My camera came with a double ended power plug. I plug one end into my camera and the other end into the battery charger. I plug the charger power cord into the wall outlet, and I have power to my older camera. Maybe you can find this double ended power cord at a store or on line.

Did you know that there are 2 kinds of batteries? Some have memories and others do not rely on a memory. The ones with memories have to be fully discharged or they will only charge a little, and keep charging less and less each time they are charged. The ones without the memory can be charged fully without being discharged fully. Check into battery information on line to get more information. Maybe you can get the non-memory kind.

SDR-H40 HDD Camcorder won't turn on

I have had mine for 1 year, two months. Earlier, it booted up, and I scrolled by date to locate some older footage. Then the cam just froze up. It wouldn't power down, so I removed the battery. Replaced batterie, and booted it up, located my older footage, and it did the same thing again. Now, when I power it on, the light blinks, the "access HDD" light stays on, but it won't power up, and my computer does not see it. It is also not making that "camera on" sound that it did before. I love this camera and have never had a problem w/ it. This just happened all of a sudden. Any ideas, anyone? I even pushed the "reset" button, but even though it lights up, it won't boot up.

Powering on

OK ... after a lot of trial and error, I got mine to work. I think it may be a really low charge or something. I had to press the power button until it was completely dark ... no flashing faint green or any colors. Then when I plugged it in, I got a solid red and left it for awhile. Then when I pressed the power button I got yellow, red and green ... the computer recognized it and then got a solid yellow.

Before when I had it plugged in, I'd get a lot of red random flashing ... and it just didn't seem to charge at all ... even after a full day.

I think the issue was that it was in this "flashing state (red when connected, very faint green when disconnected)" It wasn't easy to get it to turn off completely. Most of the presses of the power button didn't change the state at all. But if I got it just right, I could see the faint green light go off. That's when I plugged it in and got a solid red light, and eventually a good charge.

Hope this works for some others.
