Have a 46" Hisense TV want power up n no back light. Thier is only one board in it could it be that board

Your Hisene TV has a display problem ,that is the LCD circuitry board has a problem .I suggest a LCD replacement .

Main board is probably bad or the power board is not powering the main board. Common problem with Hisense tvs and their customer service is lacking if under warranty. My hisense chromebook has been dead for almost 2 months...still waiting on a return authorization for warranty repair.

You need to dertermine if the power board failing charred the connectors, or if a differeb=nt component failed which charred the connectors and took out the power board. This will require component level testing. i suggest taking it in to the repair shop.
However, i would price shop a comparable replacement TV before fixing a 4 year old Insignia. it may be more cost effective to just replace it.
