SOURCE: Blown car amp repair (Lanzar Opti 150 stereo bridgeable car amp)

Make sure your speaker load is correct before you blow your amp again after repairing it. I suspect that is why it keeps on blowing.

SOURCE: Rotel RX802 amp

I don't have a lot to go on here, but the amp should be repairable without too much expense. What specifically are the symptoms? Is it just that one channel is out or is that channel weak or distorted? I assume that you have checked for speaker fuses. Update this with a few more details, and I should be able to give you specifics.

Hi. You could look up reviews. I personally usually never offer advice on choices, because what I like, may not be what you like..its a matter of personal preference. But in this particular case, I'd go for Panasonic. Why? Better features, better service, easier availability of parts, and better resolution.Plus some nice features. If this answers your question, PLEASE don't forget to rate as fixed. I'd really appreciate it. Enjoy your new tube!!!

The repair manual can be purchased from Sony. What is the specific problem. Perhaps a manual is not needed.

Behringer EUROPOWER PMP1280S smokes

If you mean that smoke is coming from the equipment, it's time to unplug it and get it serviced. This typically means that a component has failed - it can usually be identified because it will be physically deformed. You might see a crack in an IC, a burned resistor, or something similar. Often, though not always, the component that failed may not be the only defective component on the board - for example, a voltage regulator may fail, but it might be due to a faulty capacitor, or some other short-circuit on the board. It's best to refer the repair to someone who is skilled in troubleshooting.

The set is now working perfectly. Try them

I have a Marshall G100RCD guitar amp which keeps blowing fuses. Inspection of the circuit board appears to show to points that are burnt

You have a shorted output channel. You probably see burnt resistors and very heat stressed areas of the board. That is a sign of the outputs being shorted. Unless you have experience in repaired amplifiers you will not be able to repair this yourself. If you change the burnt resistors, they will most likely burn up again. The output transistors for one of the channels are also shorted. They must be replaced along with every other bad component. If you miss just one of the bad components you will most likely burn up all the good parts you just put in. Resistors must be checked to make sure they are within the rated tolerance, capacitors must be checked for being shorted or being dry, diodes must be checked for being open or shorted, output transistors and driver transistors must be checked for being open or shorted, and the list goes on. It is a very difficult job for anybody not experienced in repairing electronics.

Take it to a reapir center that will work on those type of amplifiers, not all repair centers will.

I am very sorry to give you such bad news, but it is the problem you are having.

If you need any additonal help feel free to ask, if you decide you are going to try and fix it yourself I can tell you what to look for and how to check them, but without the proper equipment you will not be able to do this.

If you found this information helpful a rating of "FixYa" would be appreciated. The "FixYa" ratings is not just for helping you fix your equipment yourself, it is also for helping you decide if you can even fix it yourself or not.

Thanks, and I hope you find a good repair center.

Samsung D840 screen problem

Hi,
Sure everything can be fixed. it,s a matter of whether the repair is viable or practical for you. ( Expense Wise )
Your problem lies within 3 Areas.
1:) The Screen Inverter Board Is Faulty. This acts as a starter similar to in a florescant lighting tube.
2:) the screen itself has faults, relating to the cfl ( tube ) Or the matrix panel itself. ( TFT Monitor Panel )
3:) A Motherboard Power Fault. ( Or loose Connection )
Cheapest option First. Replace the inverter Board ( Located within the monitors Screen Panel )
secondly would to purchase a TFT Panel ( L.C.D Screen )
Finally is the Motherboard repair.

** Please note:- Any repairs on electrical equipment should only ever be carried out, by a person of competant and or extensive electronical Knowledge**

Hi, convergence circuit has failed, convergence IC`s and any burnt resistors will have to be changed, this is NOT an easy repair if your not very proficient at soldering and un-soldering components, you will also need a good (accurate) volt meter as the resistor(s) will have to be removed and checked for value and the values are critical to the circuit, ie: 3.3 Ohms must read within 1%, if you have the tools & soldering experience get back to me and I`ll tell you where to go to get the parts, if not you need to get the set to a tv shop, BMW Rider
