Can anyone help pinpoint the issue of red screen on Panasonic TH-42PZ700U?

Hello, I have this Panasonic plasma TV for about 10 years now, and only recently last few days the screen flickered with really red pixels all over the screen. I read some suggestion online to unplug the power for some period of time, which helped quite a bit. However, I think the same issue still happens but rarely and only for a split second. Does anyone know what might be wrong and how I can fix it? Thanks very much in advance.

I accidentally overheated my Panasonic Plasma TV TH-42PZ700U. It won't turn on, and the power button blinks TEN times.

Check and see if there are any blown caps on the power supply. If there are replace them or change your power supply.

Thank you

I accidentally overheated my Panasonic Plasma TV TH-42PZ700U. It won't turn on, and the power button is just blinking. What can I do?

All you can do is: Take the plug out of the wall (power) - wait 2hrs, plug in and try again. If it will not work after being cooled and the capacitors drained (which this will do) then it needs repair.

Plasma tv th-42pd50u not come on and keep blinking red light two times and then stop again blinking red light two times and then stop not come on

The light blinking twice means there is a fault within the system and it is a code to tell Panasonic where roughly the fault lies.
Go to Panasonic's web site and look for your set then input the fault code and hopefully they will tell you where the fault lies.

I have a panasonic plasma tv. Model #

I don't know but I'm having a similar problem. I have a plasma
TH-50PZ77U. It will run for a while and then shuts off. Also, the volume goes up and up and then it shuts off at times. Like I have a ghost here. I had both of my sat. recievers replaced. It seems to get worse over time with shut down. I called panasonic and they had no info and denied this was an issue but I beg to differ from my research here online. It's only a few years and we paid lots of $$$. They gave me a # for service 1 hour away!

Blinking red light

Same problem with TH-42PZ700U. Took the plug out of the powerstrip and stuck it in the wall outlet and no fix. I will call Panasonic tomorrow. Thinking it might be a heat issue, cause it has been working again after it cools down for 20 mins. Only had this unit since 10/4/07.
