Why doesn't our bunn coffee maker model number btxb won't heat coffee

Not sure your model name is correct and we always need numerical model names here. Bunn are such a well known name in coffee machines, I find it disappointing that they say ANY machine is not repairable. I found some Training Manuals and I found a 'Thermostat Limit Kit'.

* Bunn model # for specific solutions.
* Most Pro/Office models have a pre-heated tank.
* Most models (Without Vacation or heater switch) will be heated all the time.
* Care must be taken to keep the inner tank filled.
* Pour cold water into fill tray till water comes out of the brew basket.
* Water will stop coming out of brewer once the tank has been topped off.
* If pot is not able to brew after 20 mins of pre-heating. Then call for service.
* Note; most office and Pro machines used in food establishments are from coffee vendors. The larger machines should be serviced by qualified Bunn service techs.
* Contact your coffee vendor or Bunn service ctr for advice.

You will need any multimeter to test this but it may not be a bad switch but rather a failed heater element. You can buy these on line very cheap or at Radio Shack and auto parts stores. Don't spend over $20 (I have several bought for <$5). The added features or claimed accuracy won't do a layman any good.

If you will call customer service with the model and date code at 800-352-2866 we will be happy to help you with this issue.

There is an electrical problem with the brewer. If you will please get the model and date code located on the bottom of the machine, and call customer service, we will be happy to assist you with this. The machine has a 3 year warranty and if the machine is 3 years old or less, it will be replaced at no cost. If it is over 3 years old, it will be replaced at a reduced price.
