Bunn VPR Series warming too hot

You will need to check the heating element wiring to see that isn't a short on the neutral side. This could cause them to continue to heat even if the thermostat is working. If all wiring is ok check the function and resistance given by the thermostat.

I have a Bunn coffee maker with date code of 401406. It is almost 4 years old and still brews perfectly. The warming plate does not heat up any longer so the coffee will not stay warm after it is brewed....

The manual for this coffee maker can be found at this link:

While the manual does not contain repair instructions, it does have some troubleshooting tips to follow if your coffee is not staying hot.

I have a bunn coffee maker that when it brews the first pot is hot after that the next one is not. It is the coffee maker that has two warmers on top. i didnt know if would be the heating element or...

While this brewer does have a reservoir that keeps a couple of pots worth of water hot for brewing you can get a cooler second pot if you brew directly after. You should hear the brewer heating up after brewing. Try waiting until it is back to temperature before re-brewing. If that heating takes more than a few (3-4) minutes then you probably have a problem with the heating element and the water is only being heated by the "keep warm" heater.

Bunn coffee maker leaks all over the counter. What

there's probably a 'silicon rubber' hose that feeds hot water to the 'grounds basket'- it may be loose, or damaged. is it leaking water, or coffee?? we have a bunn 8-cup, which has a pre-heated water tank that brews a pot in about 3 min. energy waster, but when you need coffee, you need coffee!!! is your filter holder properly centered? is the carafe lid hole clean and un-obstructed?
if it's leaking water, and not too costly to replace- you may consider replacing it with a new one!
good luck!

Cooffe brews on its own

Hello. Here is what could be happening. Your brew timer may be having a problem where it is re actuating on it's own, in which case it would need to be replaced, and re calibrated. The other possibility is that the start switch is making contact internally, and telling the brew timer to start again. Your unit does not show it having a level probe, so most likely it is not overflowing due to a flooding condition. After you brew, turn off the lower heat switch, this will remove power to the brew circuit, if the problem stops, then you know it is one of those 2 things, and I would try the start switch first, as it is a cheaper item to replace than the timer.
Here is a link to your brewer manual with part #'s etc..
