Older Sithl equipment was lazer etched on to a part of the housing. Newer equipment is marked on a sticker.

you should of had a terminal end that sits on one of the mounting bolts...

Sounds like a fuel problem, check the primer bulb, primer base and may possibly need a carb kit, gaskets and diaphragms can deteriate over time

Check the fuel tank vent, it could be creating a vaccum in the fuel tank which is stopping the carb from drawing up the fuel. Then you're having to wait till the pressure in the fuel tank equalises again.

look at your local lawn and garden place some times they have extra parts that you can use for your trimmer. Or call the company them selfs and ask them if they have parts.

select your trimmer and then you can access the parts diagrams which will show you exactly how to reassemble. Joe

I would have a shop do a compression test on the engine. It should be at least 100 psi to run. And then a spark test on the ignition module to see if it firing to the spark plug. I would look at a carburetor rebuild. I would also mix up some fresh fuel mixture; anything over 30 days now is considered bad gas.
