I would suggest you replace the foot pedal speed control.

Your foot pedal plug is loose or possibly unplugged. You could also have a piece of fabric or thread that may be caught under the plate or around the bobbin. Remove all lint and oil the machine making sure the foot pedal plug is tightly in the machine.

Try ebay or contact your local authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer. You can find a local dealer from the Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us/

If you can't turn the handwheel on the side at all you need to be very careful. If the two loopers are crossed and you force the machine you will be looking at a rather expensive repair bill. Open the front cover and do a visual inspection, making sure nothing foreign is inside the machine. If the handwheel turns easily and the only problem is electric, check the front cover. If it is not closed all the way the power to the motor is cut off for safety reasons. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: My Viking 5710 starts to sew without any pressure on foot pedal

Mine does the exact same thing. I think the problem might lie in the cord to the foot pedal. The cord packs into the foot pedal for storage, which forces the cord to to remain bent during storage. I believe the wires in mind became damaged and broken so I took it apart and reconnected the wires at the spot where the connector meets with the wires. But I still don't leave it plugged in if I'm not using it, it could be a fire hazard.

Where can i get a foot pedal for my husqvarna viking 1610?

A foot pedal for a Husqvarna Viking 1610 sewing machine can be obtained from several sources:
  1. Sewing machine dealers: Many sewing machine dealers, especially those that specialize in Husqvarna Viking sewing machines, carry a wide range of replacement parts, including foot pedals.
  2. Online retailers: Websites such as Amazon, Ebay, and SewingMachinesPlus carry a wide range of replacement parts for older and newer sewing machines, including foot pedals for the Husqvarna Viking 1610.
  3. Husqvarna Viking: You can contact the manufacturer Husqvarna Viking to find the nearest authorized dealer or to purchase parts directly from the company.
  4. Specialty stores: Some specialty stores that focus on sewing machine parts carry a wide range of replacement parts, including foot pedals for older and newer models of sewing machines.

I have a Viking sewing machine, Rose 600. Recently, the computer says the foot is not down, when in fact it is. Is this easily rectified?

You have a sensor that is not working correctly, it would probably be best to take it to a Viking dealer to have it fixed as a lot of repair people ma not be well versed in this repair.

How do I find a foot pedal for a Viking Vanessa model 5610 with a power cord?

The part is no longer available from Viking. However, you might be able to buy a used one on ebay or from sewing machine parts. However, you might try contacting some of the Viking stores to determine if they have a used one from a machine they use for parts. You can send me a private email and I'll give you some Viking dealers you can contact. email: [email protected]

How do you remove the rose sewing machine case

That's a tricky fix. I recently fixed one (I'm a Service Tech). The spring is wedged into the front cover in the housing. The sewing head has to be removed to access the area. Suggest you take it to an Authorized Viking Dealer to have the work done. You can find the nearest Viking Dealer by going to Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us and clicking on Locate a Dealer

Just bought a Husqvarna 5710, and found out that it did not have a power cord, or foot pedal. Do I need to buy replacement products specific to the model, or are there universal models that would work?...

You will need to buy power cord and foot pedal specific to your model. You can have an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer order these for you. A listing of authorized dealers is available on the Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us

Also you could try ebay but be careful that you know what you are buying. Other 3rd party vendors are:

No foot pedal for machine

If you have a start/stop button, yes you can use that instead of a foot pedal. Most viking designer models use a common foot pedal, so you might be able to find a used one.

Presser foot husquvarna rose

You should be able to adjust the pressure on the presser foot. Check your user manual or see an authorized husqvarna viking dealer for assistance. They are usually eager to help. You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

Good luck.
