yes..and that happens after a period of time. When you get new ones, check the instructions on the initial charge/discharge requirements, and use those methods. tends to help with the battery life extension.

SOURCE: i have a powerware 9120

Did your UPS display "Battery disconnected" or did it display "Battery Failure"? If it was "Battery Failure", for some reason the Powerware 9120 will take almost 18 hours after plugging in to power after battery replacement to correct the Battery Failure indication. Charger has to charge up the batteries, followed by an automatic battery test by the UPS. If the indication was "Battery Disconnected", you will need to check the internal fuses to see if they are blown. If the UPS keeps blowing fuses, it will require a board repair.

My ups has failured only giving an alarm indicating that batdisconnected

Check the connections on the batteries. One or more may be loose or corroded. Also check the fuse for the batteries. It may have blown.

Powerware ups 6kv indicates Bat disconnected

1st does this have external battery modules or is it only the Internal batteries on this unit? You can disconnect the EBM's and the unit doesn't alarm even removing the internals with EBM;s attached won't cause an alarm. But it you only have internal batteries, open the front cover by pressing in the sides on the bottom left and right and pull it out and up at the same time revealing a black cable with a small anderson connector, make sure it is connected. you can pull the batteries out to check them to be sure they are properly seated. By the way the UPS in the picture only went to 3000va so is the 6Kv a different model?

Powerware 9120 batt disconnected

Hi Anonymous,
I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Are the batteries new? If you did recently replace the batteries in the cartridge, did you check the connections and make sure contact as being made?

Let me know!

The LEDs are actually indicating the amount of load on the UPS and only indicate battery charge level when running on battery power. You can email [email protected] if you'd like to follow up.

Short backup time

Suspect battery failure/faulty cell in a batt
Remove batts and check outside unit
charge up to around 2.27V/cell then check discharge on each batt (12V car lamp is good dummy load)
faulty one will be obvious.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE VERY CAREFUL WITH BATTERIES, THEY ARE VERY DANGEROUS, AND ALWAYS LIVE!

Check you manual for safety procedures, BEFORE working on Batteries.

hope this helps

My ups has is faulty i need a circuit diagram to fix it

I had a DC bus fault error displayed.

So I unplugged battery, then turned on UPS. It said Batt disconnected of course.

So when I plugged in the batt while the UPS was on, and held the power button for a few sec, the UPS displayed Batt testing.

After a few moments it was back online and had no faults!

Worth a shot.
