Make sure you are in pool mode, and if you are not circulating, then you have a clogged impellar. Make sure the basket is empty and good, clean the impellar, backwash, or clean filter, put valves into pool mode, prime pump, and you will be ok.

Pool water will not circulate even though pump is running

if the water doesnt circulate, there could be many causes. start at the very beginning. does the pump sound 'normal'? if there is rattling or buzzing, the pump might not be turning and there fore no circulation. is there water in the system? even though most pumps are 'self priming', you should fill the hopper with water to prime it. are the lines open? make sure the supply to pump from skimmer is free of blockage and that the return lines to pool are open and free from blockage. if all this looks fine, then you have to get deeper into diagnosis.

My sand pump won't pump water back into pool?

No such thing as 'sand pump'...
There's a circulation pump and sand filter.
filters don't pump water.
if no water is flowing, then pump is either not primed, or valves are closed.
Or water level is not at point of water entry into suction port.

Eheim 2080 will not pump

eheim 2080 filter , only 4 months old, will not circulate water. I took it down to clean filter material and hoses . Put it back together and back into tank but it won't circulate the water. I prime it and prefilter fills with water but as soon as you stop priming there is no output from spray bar. I have read and reread booklet 10 times and believe everything is right .....help

Pool pump motor runs but doesn't circulate the water

make sure the pump has been primed, all the valves are open and in the correct position, no obstruction in the skimmer.
if the pump is working but water still not circulating, the impeller may be clogged with debris. you will need to split the pump and use a shop vac to remove the crud in impeller fins.

When trying to circulate i have alot of bubbles and it won't pick up the water to circulate it

THERE IS A SUCTION LEAK COULD BE .. PUMP LID, JANDY VALVE OR CRACK AND OR LEAKING PVC .. YOU CAN USE ELECTRICAL TAPE TO DO EACH JOINT ON THE PVC.. START FROM THE PUMP AND WORK BACK AS FAR AS YOU CAN ON THE SUCTION LINE, WATCH THE BASKET FOR THE BUBBLES TO STOP, WHEN THEY DO THAT IS THE JOINT THAT NEED TO BE REPAIRED..ALWAYS PRIME THE PUMP WITH WATER AFTER A PUMP REPAIR.. Filter pump running hot and water is not circulating. We have a 10 x 30 Intex inflatable pool. Also, pump keeps popping the circuit breaker

If your pool filter and pump are running not and not circulating, it sounds like either your pump is not primed properly, you have an impeller jammed/or broken, or you have something clogging the hose to the return line that is causing pressure to build up. Check all three of these and bet you will find your problem.

99 grand am gt overheating changed thermostat and

try priming the engine block & radiator with water though the hose's & any hose you can squeeze to pump out the air lock with the filler cap off when running, sounds too much air is is in the system & the pump won't work dry.
I had this problem a few times & I ended up practically forcing water into any hose I could re-attach quickly using a garden hose, as the heating system need's priming too !

Whirlpool bath starts, but water doesn't jet

If that is what it needs and the pump impellor is actually working(turning) then filling the tube leading into the pump, until it take no more water, will prime the pump.
