If you are talking about the sensor on the lower part of the brace. It is Probally an impact sensor Or a sensor to monitor the outside air temperature. Let me know if this is not what you are talking about.

SOURCE: The hood latch cable is

Find a pickup the same year and model. With this hood open, Take a coat hanger and bend the hanger to the correct shape to snake into your pickup and hook onto the hood latch. Practice a little on the hood open, partial closed etc until you are comfortable snaking this into the latch.

SOURCE: hood wire is out from the latch at the hood end

first, try smacking the hood at one of the front corners while someone else pulls the release handle. or even after you've pulled on it. if that works, once open, adjust and lubricate the hood latch assembly. if it still won't open, and it's the cable and not the latch you'll have to replace it anyway, so instead of removing the grill, cut the cable behind the pull lever under the dash where you can reach it. then skin the outer cable insulation away from the actual steel cable exposing an inch or two of it. then holding the insulation and plastic housing with pliers, grab the steel cable itself with pliers and pull it to open the hood. then replace the cable. the further you can reach up under the panel the better your chances of getting past the broken part of the cable and avoid removing the grill. you might also be able to gain access from up under the car if you're lucky.

Hood latch on 05 kia amanti wont release hood how else to open hood

Have some one hold the hood release lever open while you push down on the front of the hood. You may have to repeat this a few times and the latch should release. After you get it open make sure to lube both the latch mechanism as well as the cable. This should take care of your problem.

I have got the starter diconnected from my 2005 5.7 jeep gc but I cant get it out to replace it

1. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Note: If equipped with 4WD and certain transmissions, a support bracket is used between front axle and side of transmission. Remove 2 support bracket bolts at transmission. Pry support bracket slightly to gain access to lower starter mounting bolt.
4. Remove two mounting bolts (2).
5. Move starter motor towards front of vehicle far enough for nose of starter pinion housing to clear housing. Always support starter motor (1) during this process, do not let starter motor hang from wire harness.
6. Tilt nose downwards and lower starter motor far enough to access and remove nut that secures battery positive cable wire harness connector eyelet to solenoid battery terminal stud. Do not let starter motor hang from wire harness.
7. Remove battery positive cable wire harness connector eyelet from solenoid battery terminal stud.
8. Disconnect battery positive cable wire harness connector from solenoid terminal connector receptacle.
9. Remove starter motor.

Ignition Coil A,B,C Primary/Secondary malfunction

Remove the Caravan Ignition Coil Step1 Look under the hood for a distributor. The spark plug wiresmag-glass_10x10.gif connect into the distributor cap. If you don't see a distributor, you may have a model with a distributorless ignition system. Step2 Find the ignition coil. On a Dodge Caravan, the ignition coil is at the back of the intake manifold. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent injury while you work. Step3 Determine whether you need to remove the windshield wiper/motor module assembly. This won't be necessary on all models. Step4 Disengage the connector securing the wiring harness connector to the Dodge Caravan ignition coil. Then, disconnect the ignition wire from the ignition coil. Step5 Use a socket set to remove the mounting bolts. There are upper and lower mounting bolts. Separate the ignition coil from the mounting bracket. Install the New Ignition Coil Step1 Insert the new ignition coil. Mount the Dodge Caravan ignition coil to the mounting bracket. Step2 Attach the mounted assembly to the intake manifold. With a Torque wrench, tighten the fasteners securing the ignition coil to the mounting bracket with 96 inch pounds of torque (10 Nm). Step3 Tighten the bolts that secure the intake manifold to the bracket with 115 inch pounds of torque (13 Nm). Step4 Connect the wire harness and any other parts you removed, including the negative battery cable.
