The vlatch to spring the basket (cassette holder) is easy to access on these. Many times the eject process will take place if the holder is released. After the door is removed the holder can be released by gentley raising the latch on the right side of the holder assembly. After the tape is out further checks can be made for damp drum or tension issues.

DVR TRV-27 is showing error C:32:11

The problem is a rubber tape tension roller. Simply eject the tape, look inside where the tape goes. You will see a black rubber cylinder that may have a white plastic tube protruding. If you have long tweezer or a hemostat remove the plastic tube which hold the rubber tensioner in place, then remove the rubber tension cylinder. Clean the shaft of the black rubber tensioner with alcohol on a q-tip. Replace rubber tension cylinder and plastic tube.

Also, the tapes can cause the problem. This process is possible by one person, but you may need another person or have three hands. The C:31:23 is tape tension error. The tape has become stuck. Simply eject the tape. Holding the tape upside down, pull back on the tape cover release slide on the left side of the tape, now take the hemostat and push the tape release tab, located opposite of the tape cover, push this tab down and back toward the back edge of the tape. Now while holding both those release levers, take a pencil and wind the tape past the bad spot or until the tape winds freely.
I did both of these and was able to use the camera again and view all my tapes!
Good luck and QUIT SPANKING YOUR CAMERAS!!!!

Tape will not eject

If you remove the power while the basket is halfway up, you should be able to remove the door. Then look to see if the reels are turning when you try to elect the tape. The error code you are getting indicates the reels are not turning for some reason. You can ssist the reels turning as the tape is ejected if you have a small plastic pick or a toothpick into the reels to assist the reels turning and tehn you may be able to remove the tape.

The tape will not eject, battery is charged, help! Thank you!

Unplug battery and reattach it again, then try to eject the tape.
If problem still exist and camera shows error code "C:..:.." and beeps then it is problem of tape mechanism.

Can not eject tape

I had same problem, while transferring media from TRV-16 to DVD, tape would not play, then would not eject. This after transferring several tapes to DVD. I tried several things over the last couple months that did not work before finally getting it open today. It did me no good to remove several of the outer panels that were each held by two "tiny" phillips head screws each. Went to the internet, found your post, also found a post that referred me back to SONY page which follows.......

Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if the cassette compartment will not open or the tape is stuck and will not eject.
IMPORTANT: If your camcorder model has a RESET button, first try pressing this button. If there is no RESET button, or pressing the button does not resolve the issue, continue with the troubleshooting steps below.
  1. Turn off the camcorder.
  2. Remove the battery from the camera.
  3. Remove the AC power supply from the camera.
  4. Slide the power switch on the camera to the VTR , VCR or CAMERA mode for 15 seconds.
  5. Slide the power switch back to the OFF position.
  6. Connect the AC power supply to the camera.
  7. Attempt to open the cassette compartment.
"NOTE: If the issue is still unresolved after completing all of the troubleshooting steps, service may be required."

After I did this, I could hear a whirring sound when I hit eject, although nothing came out. While the whirring was going on, I pulled up and out with constant pressure and the cassette holder opened. The tape had jammed apparently as the little protective plastic tape guard was jammed partially open when I pulled the cassette out. Good Luck and don't be afraid to put a little pressure on the door if you can hear the door trying to open.

Now I turn to recovering the tape, but having grown up with cassette decks, don't believe it will be a problem.

Warning indicator C:32:00/C:32:11

I had the same problem (error c:32:00, beeps and tape would not eject. Cassette was halfway ejected) on my Sony CCD-TR416. I found the fix here:

http://www.camerahacker.com/Forums/DisplayComments.php?file=Video%20Camera/Sony/DCR_PC5E_Error_code_C_21.00.html

To summarize: remove the battery, unplug from the wall and smack the **** outta the bottom of the camera. It worked for me. It looks like my problem was that the tape had started coming out of the cassette body and caused a jam.

Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.
