SOURCE: refrigerator collects water at bottom,
at the top of the fridge section at the center back there is a drain assy/ tube for defrost water to exit the unit and go to the bottom of the outside, this is most likely clogged up. disassemble and clear drain line, hook back up and call me in the morning.
SOURCE: water runs under the vegetable bins
There should be a collecting channel with a hole and a tube reaching down to somewhere above the cooling compressor (Back of unit) where it should evaporate with the heat.
Most people never clean that hole and tube simply because they do not know what is for or the manual is silent. Sometime can be jammed with little icecube. I us thick plastic line from toy to clean, electrical wire with copper core not naked is also oke. Do not put wild force. This is the cooler part. The deep freezer part needs defrosting on temporarily basis and for that you need some small low bin to start collecting or keep on mobbing the floor.
SOURCE: GE TBX18JA. Water is collecting below the
defrest freezer drain is in freezer. use hot water and a turkey baster untill water flows thru drain.
SOURCE: I have a model ET8CHKXKQ0 1 Whirlpool refrigerator
The drain in the freezer is clogging. When the defrost switches on, the backed-up ice thaws and starts dripping down into the fridge area.
Easiest is probably to turn off the fridge, let it thaw, then check the freezer drain to see if you can unclog it.
Otherwise, you have to pull out the bottom and back parts in the freezer (which will probably have some sort of ice frozen to them). Once you see the drain pan, get a turkey baster and flat head screw driver. You'll have to make a hole in the ice above the drain and squirt hot water until you hear it start draining. The drain hole is off center to the right in the drain pan.
Good luck
Just had mine repaired. The evaporator drain is plugged with ice. The solution is to replace the heat sensor and add a piece of metal extending from the small heat coil under the evaporator that supplements the piece already there. The guy that repaired mine used a piece of coat hanger wire for the extension. Except for the heat sensor, it's a repair anyone can do. Just take off the plastic cover on the inside back of the fridge, melt the ice obstruction in the drain and hang a piece of wire from the heat coil into the drain. He also used some metallic duct tape to raise the height of the drain tray on the ends so that it wouldn't overflow in the future.
