I have a 2007 Sony KDL 52xbr4. The sound stopped working. No sound when using the speakers, and no sound when using the output to audio system. Which board controls the sound output on this unit?

SOURCE: Please help with getting 5.1 sound from my TV!

You must run a Digital Optical cable from your PS3 to your reciever. Then press your function button on your recievers remote until you see SAT/CABLE on your recievers display. Next go to your PS3 settings and go to Sound settings, then Audio Output settings, and select Digital out (OPTICAL) then your done. This is the only way to get true digital sound from your PS3 to your reciever.

SOURCE: Sony center speaker and rear speakers don't work all the time

try using another speaker for the center channel and the left speaker, also watch your ohm load, most of the want a 4 ohm load. try to narrow it down to see if it is the speaker or the amp.

SOURCE: Sony BRAVIA volume problem

I had this same issue, and solved it by putting the TV in "Theater Mode', which can be acheived by hitting the "Theater" button on the remote.

SOURCE: Have a sony KDL - 46v5100 volume problem

Tap the "Theater" button on the remote. You should see either "Theater Mode: On" or "Theater Mode: Off". If it is off, tap it again to turn it on and wait for it to go away. Now tap again (should say "Theater Mode: On") and then press and hold it for about a second. This should actually turn it off, as opposed to just pretending to. Works on my larger Sony KDL.

How do i get the external audio output to work?

First make sure that your TV has an audio OUT. Most do not. If you do then you can plug into that but you will have to go into the menu on the TV under audio and turn on the external speaker feature. If you do not have an audio OUT then you will have to hook you speaker to the audio OUT of your home stereo system and hook the source output to the input of your stereo. Source being (dvd, cable box). In that case you need to turn off the internal speakers on the TV and just run it through your home stereo system.

Kdl-32v4000 sound

Check the speaker first. Check if there is any sound output comes from the audio out terminals at the back of the TV, by connecting them to any external audio out devices; such as an amplifier or so. If there is audio output comes from the external source such connected, and no audio output from the TV; since the speakers are good, the fault is with the audio output section circuit inside the TV. If there is no audio output from the external sources too, the fault is with the audio processing section circuit at the main board. If this is the case, main board is faulty, and should be replaced.

Sony BRAVIA KDL-40V2500 audio not working

I would Google the model number carefully for "problems" "no sound" and usually this set will display some kind of error code===it may even have a hard reset to try===service manuals are available on the net/web to allow you to see how the sound circuit is set up etc.

Connecting speakers.

The speakers cannot be connected directly to the audio outputs. These outputs are for use with an external amplifier. Connecting speakers directly to these audio outputs can cause damage to the set. Thanks

No sound on left side.

RE-check the audio amp on its own see if this happens with any input device...

Re-check the connections, and be sure your cable wires are all in good condition....and that you have the proper input/output ports correct.
