My jabra freeway gets stuck announcing two mobiles are in the range and power on. How can I fix it that it only announces once for each phone.

Delete Jabra from Phone and reboot. Tell phone to search for Bluetooth devices. PRESS THE BLUTOOTH BUTTON ON JABRA! Now you are Paired. Make sure phone is not on Mute.

Turn on the Jabra, then hold down the answer button for 5 seconds until it announces "pairing mode", then open bluetooth on the phone and add there. Are you having trouble with the Jabra or the phone?

Then, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a little while, your car kit should appear on the phone' screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros).

I suspect the message is coming from a Telephone exchange .
A Telephone exchange works by switching your call based on what you dial in as a number it records the whole phone number switches the path of your phone connection to the next path.
(modern exchanges of today record the whole b- number and pass it via c7 signalling on a PCM control channel to the next switches along the route)
(Old step by step exchanges use to switch a call on each number dialed via electro-mechanical rotary switches)
So if the phone of your friend was left off the hook the computerised switch would detect this and time out the phone line to free up the switch from waiting for numbers to be dialed.(This saves computer processor time in the switch)
The switch that your friends phone is connected to would mark your friends phone as unavailable if this was the situation.
When you phoned your friends phone the switch would connect to an RVA (recorded voice announcement -1) and the RVA identifies the switch switch 1-1015-5. if it is a mobile phone and it was switched off a Mobile switching centre would detect this and mark the mobile phone number in a special mobile phone database that is was switched off or out of radio range. When you called the mobile number a RVA would be switched in that says "The number you have called in either switched off or out of radio range " then a pause and then in a fainter sound the switch name would be announced.

Pairing: Ensure speaker phone is off.
press and hold the MFB button for 5 seconds until LED blinks orange and unit announces "pairing mode on".
Go to the bluetooth section of your mobile phone and search for a new device. Once found "Centrios 1713165" follow the phone steps and enter 0000 to pair. Speakerphone is ready for use once it announces phone is ready. It should pair everytime it gets in proximity to the phone.

TO RECORD AN ANNOUNCEMENT:
1. Press A.
2. Choose the announcement location by
pressing s until the appropriate
mailbox is displayed.
3. Press R. Begin speaking after the beep
4. When you are finished, press S.
You will hear your new announcement.
5. Repeat Steps 1-4 to record another
announcement

TO REVIEW YOUR ANNOUNCEMENT:
1. Press A.
2. Press s to choose the announcement
you want to review (A, B, C, AO,
MBOX 3, MBOX 4).
3. Press P to hear the selected
announcement.

CHANGING ANNOUNCEMENTS:
You can re-record any of the announcements
currently in use by any
line or mailbox.
1. Contact the answering system.
2. After two beeps press a number key
(1-4) to select a line or mailbox, then
press 4*. The system beeps and begins
recording.
3. Speak into the telephone in a normal tone
of voice.
4. Press # when you are finished. The
system beeps once and plays the new
announcement.
To review your announcement, press a
number key (1-4) to select a line or mailbox.
Press 41 after the two beeps to play
your announcement.
NOTE: If announcement is being used by
both lines, re-recording the announcement
will change the announcement heard on
both lines.
