Did you checkup your PC health Online or just installed PC checkup utilities newly downloaded? If yes and that was the beginning of such errors you maybe infected by viruses or Malwares. Uninstall newly installed programs and run Anti-malware or antivirus.

HARDDISK SECURITY PASSWORD FOR WDC WD3200BPVT-22ZES

Saw on a forum that this could be the default password.. wdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwd

-put DOS on a floppy disk
-add atapwd.exe to the disk
-turn off the computer & connect your Western Digital hard drive.
-turn on the computer and inset floppy
-type atapwd.exe after A:\
-when the menu loads click on your harddrive
- >Prepare Erase
- >Erase
-enter the password " wdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwd "
-It should come back with an error, press enter and the hard drive name will disappear from the list
-DO NOT RESTART-...Your harddrive is being formatted.
-Let it sit at that screen for 30mins
-Afterwards, press the F5 key(refresh) and the hard drive should reappear on the list
-restart...and it'll be unlocked.

I don't know if that will help your problem but I hope it helps someone.

My wd3200bpvt is not working now...how to solve the problem because there have many important files inside the hardb disk...

you have not stated what is not working so i have to guess you need an overhaul

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

hope this helps

HARD DISK NO OPEN

Hard disk shouldn't be opened. They are air tight beacuse dust getting in there could break the whole hard drive.

I am installing a new WD3200AAJB HD in a Dell Dimension 4550. This is the only HD in the system. There are also 2 CD drives and a floppy drive. I used the jumper settings the drive came with which pins...

Reinstall your old hard drive as master and install the new hard drive as slave.

Here is the link to jumper settings from Westrn Digital;

http://wdc.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/wdc.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1540&p_created=#jumper

If you've got your jumper settings wrong and installed your os on the 127 GB section of the 320 GB Hard drive and you change jumper settings and then you have problems you may need to reinstall the old hard drive as master and the new hard drive as slave. Reformat the new hard drive as 320 GB, and as a bootable drive. You can either do a disk copy from old to new or reinstall your os on the 320 GB drive. Please let me know how this goes.
