SOURCE: I have a Casio TE-2200 Electronic cash register that is saying INIT LLLLLLLLLL What do I do to fix this. Please help

Be very careful. The machine is trying to wipe all of the programming due to a flat battery (you can't store cash registers for more than a month or so). Follow this very carefully:

Turn key to PGM (program) mode
Turn power off at the wall socket

Hold down RECEIPT FEED button (keep your finger on it)

Turn power back on and wait 5 seconds before taking your finger off of the receipt feed button (the paper may feed out. This is normal).

The LLLLLLLLLL part of the display should change to FFFFFFFFFF.
Press SUBTOTAL once and wait for the printer to issue a receipt.
Turn key back to REG mode and try it. You may need to sign on using a clerk button or a clerk code if you use one.

If the memory is scrambled and your programming has vanished, you will need to clear the machine and start again. There is a full programming manual online. the only one I know of is here:

Changing tax rate on the casio te-2000?

Hi.
I don't have the USA version, but most states just use fixed rate tax, so I can probably help you.
I need you to print the current tax so I can see how it has been setup.

Turn the key to Program mode.
3 SUBTOTAL SUBTOTAL (must press subtotal twice)
Make sure you turn back to REG mode.

This will print a list. Look down until you see 0125 through 0325 on the left.
Tell me what the figures are on the right of those three. There is usually three sets of figures for each. don't worry about anything else on the print out, just the info next to 0125, 0225, 0325.

CANNOT PROGRAMME THE VAT AMOUNT INTO CASIO TE 2000

Hi.
Has it had the system options set for tax? Was it calculating previously? Usually you just need to change the rate when you have a tax increase.
