I would check how level the dishwasher is. Might need to adjust the feet.

I understand that your Frigidaire dryer door keeps popping open during the cycle. I suggest making sure that the door has been completely closed before starting the cycle. If this is done, and the door is still popping open, there might be something going on with the door latch. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. Check the way you're loading your dishwasher. Sometimes large plates or baking pans can block the door of the dispenser. The latch unlocks but because the door is blocked, the detergent can't get out. Once you open the main door, the dispenser door may pop open and looks as if it has been in the fully opened position when it was actually held in place by that large utensil!Cutting boards are major blockers as well.

Try adjusting the door catch, this is the hook that comes out from the top of the machine and clips into the door switch when closed, it can be adjusted further out by loosening the screw. If not then you may need to replace the door switch. This is done by unscrewing th front panel and removing it. The switch is held on by 2 screws and 2 wires. Hope this helps.

I am an experienced techician and have tried all these solutions in the past sometimes at no avail. But replacing the tub which has a limited lifetime warranty along with hinge arms will solve the issue. This has such a margional clearance I can never see anything visible causing the door to pop open

I have the same problem and it appears that everyone else who has replaced the door seal runs in top this issue. This is a new seal design that is different from the original. This new seal is obviously poorly designed is placing too much pressure on the door causing it to either not close, or open mid cycle. I am presently duck taping the door closed when running the machine in the hope that the heat cycling the new seal will eventually cause it to deform and relieve the pressure. I see that other have attempted to help the process by increasing the release pressure on the latch. This will be the last Kitchenaid large appliance I purchase.

Try this... Wipe out the soap dish with white vinegar and a soft cloth.. make sure you get everything off the edges of the door and look for any nicks, blemishes or deformation of the dispenser door to make sure it is not mechanically binding up when it is cycled open. If Ok.. then.. clean your drain filter.. then.. start a wash cycle using the hottest setting ( without any dishes) .. and after about 10 minutes or so.. stop the process and open the door and add in 2 cups of white vinegar.. Let it complete the wash cycle.. When complete..try running a dishless cycle on any setting with detergent ( use about 1/3 less than you usually use) and see if that dispense adequately. If that works, then the next time you load the washer. make sure you don't have anything up against or limiting the door from opening. Hope this helps..

The dishwasher was not properly leveled on installation. I used a carpenter's level
and trued up the problem. The door now stays closed.

However, the latch design is faulty in that it does not ever feel securely latched and that is true of all the Kitchenaides that I tried in the showrooms.

Try placing something like a chair with books or heavy objects on it in front of the door. Tip it with objects under the front legs and place objects on its seat until the pressure closes the door and the dishwasher starts. Put additional objects on the seat to insure vibration doesn't make the door pop open. If the cycle completes, the problem is probably the door switch. If not, the problem may be with the timer switch. If it's the timer switch the dishwasher will probably stop at the same position each time.
