The engine operating cooler is an old folks tale that is NOT True. The thermostat is there to allow enough heat transfer from the engine to the water, and MOST IMPORTANTLY... to allow the water in the radiator to cool down enough to do its job cooling the engine...
If you have heat related problems. make sure your radiator in not clogged up and put a new thermostat in the engine.
LEAVE THE THERMOSTAT WHERE IT BELONGS or risk serious engine damage in the long run...

Any time you omit the thermostat the heater wont work but the engine will operate at a cooler temp. I live in a hot climate year round and we southerners leave out the tstats on older jalopy.

an intercooler will cool the air that the turbo has compressed(when you compress air it gets hot)you will notice the difference......but hard to give actual increase in bhp.your acceleration times will drop as well.

Welcome to Fixya
Error 41 is the butterfly spindle in the intake manifold just below where the hose from the intercooler joins. It should be open when engine running if it is closed it will cause boost issues and running problems.
Thank you for using Fixya!

Head torque specification for l200 4d56 DID DOHC 2007

what car? and year>? and country , so we can look it up in our
great online sources. (all 3 must be known)
in the USA we use alldata.com (or the dealer FSM)

i guess you dont know that some heads are not torqued, or use TTY bolts, right? some are set by ANGLE degree.
that is covered in the FSM all that. the facts.
most head failures result from guessing.
or asking here, with no facts on car.
some engine run different heads, and different if turbo.

case in point, all this Mitsubishi engines

my guess

Spark plug gap does not effect the engine timing so it's not that critical. Thirty 5 (.035) should work just fine.

Have a 2007 mitsubishi L200 4D56 command rail engine that will not run. The only way I can make this engine run is to unplug the pressure sensor located on the end of the fuel rail. Even then, it will only...

In your case the pressure sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced. 1) Stores pressurized fuel (25 to 180 MPa) that has been delivered from the supply pump and distributes the fuel to each cylinder injector. A rail pressure sensor and a pressure limiter valve are adopted in the rail. 2) The rail pressure sensor (Pc sensor) detects fuel pressure in the rail and sends a signal to the engine ECU, and the pressure limiter controls the excess pressure. This ensures optimum combustion and reduces combustion noise. ---- Rail ā€¢ The rail is mounted between the supply pump and the injector, and stores the high-pressure fuel. --------- Injector:-------- ā€¢ This injector replaces the conventional injection nozzle, and achieves optimal injection by effecting control in accordance with signals from the engine ECU. Signals from the engine ECU determine the duration and timing in which current is applied the injector. This in turn, determines the quantity, rate and timing of the fuel that is injected from the injector. ------------ Rail Pressure Sensor (Pc Sensor) 1) The pressure sensor detects the fuel pressure of the rail, and sends a signal to the engine ECU. The sensor is made from a semiconductor that uses the Piezo resistive effect to detect changes in electrical resistance based on the pressure applied to the elemental silicon. In comparison to the old model, this sensor is compatible with high pressure. ---------- There is a service manual for how the fuel rail sensor and fuel system works. Its for mitsubishi L200 4D56.----------- Click this link for referring the service manual:--- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/06/service-manual-for-mitsubishi-l200-4d56.html ----------- This should help.thanks.Helpmech.

Mitsubishi L200 overheating

i have an l200 animal, i started getting the same symptoms, bubbling noises, over heating, water being discharged into the header tank, i had a good look around the engine, there was no oil in the water or water in the oil ( signs of head gasket failure) when the radiator cap was off and i revved hard nothing happened, no dip in water levels and no splashing out. i took the water pump off and the impellor had sheered off the shaft. fitted a new pump and its been fine, maybe all these cracked cylinder heads and warped heads are to do with the engine being run with the fault not being cured.
